That wouldn’t make any sense.
Making it easier for Russia to take Ukraine isn’t in our national interest, either. Russia certainly isn’t going to reciprocate by backing away from Cuba and Venezuela, etc., which it uses like a club on us by creating waves of refugees with which to flood or border.
It’s not about the Ukraine and Russia. Or Russia and China or Taiwan. It’s about staying in office, money and power. It doesn’t have to make sense.
