2nd!!
3rd!!
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hurrah for us...we made it thru hump day!!
I’m glad it missed too! That was a slow-moving storm it was in and as intense as the lightning was, it must have been one nasty storm overall.
Another storm is moving across the same area now with a lot of lightning. Just got in from the porch, getting videos. Gotta play them back on the computer to see if I got any shots worth saving.
And the lightning bugs started waking up tonight!
There are still a few tornado warnings in AL but at the moment, none in TN. We’ll see what happens when the line in AR moves across TN later.
Dang that wind! Just ruins a good day. The birds don’t help things either. :-)
WOW!!! Glad the north and south collided to miss you. Hope everything else misses you.
Earlier we had about 10 drops on the deck and just looking out now there are at least 50 drops.
Spring cleanup and first mow are the week of 5/19. All the grass should be green by then.
Sounds like it’s one of those nights that will keep you wondering all night whether it’ll affect you or not. I do hope you got some decent lightning strike shots!
Oooo....the lightning bugs. I love those better than real lightning. Wish we had them. But you have to have humidity and that we don’t have. Last time I saw them was in Maine with MsB, mylife, NYTexan and my hubby at the cottage we stayed at.
Good evening, luvie...”I got this, Daddy”. We WILL remember.
It happened several times throughout the day. There were so many storms and if two got close enough to each other, one drained the energy out of the other. I was watching those two, wondering if it would happen and which storm would hold on. Glad it was the southern one, for my sake, but I hope everyone’s ok who were in the path of the other.
I’m getting clipped by the southern edge of a storm going through now. Lots of lightning flashing but no streaks across the sky like the two that passed to the south earlier.
I just pulled up the Lake Hood cam and it’s SNOWING!!!!!
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
How's everyone doing this morning?
I got a few decent shots but some really good streaks weren't in the camera frame very well. So much going on, I never knew where to aim the camera. LOL This one wasn't too bad.
There were a couple that went all the way across the sky the camera didn't cover that much sky. Drat.
It's too bad lightning bugs can't survive there. It's almost magical to sit outside when the sun sets and watch them come up from the grass by the hundreds. I'll start doing that now that I know they're out for the summer at last.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Gorgeous day you had! Did Gizmo run your legs off, dragging you all over creation? LOL Y’all covered some ground.
Wow! That’s a great pic. Prayers up for all of you in that area. Stay safe, FRiend!
We sure will! Always!
Good morning, ML...((HUGS))...hope you and Tippy have lovely weather for hiking, and then sunny and warm weather for you and Blue.
Wow! That is a fantastic shot! Finally! LOL!
Yes, they are magical. Sort of like real live fairies. I love watching them. I wonder if they have them around the Bryan area. Hmmmm.....I never thought to look.
It’s a little nervewracking alright. Just like it was when I found out that your area and the Bryan area were having floods. Of course, I didn’t hear from the kids. LOL!
Yep...it is snowing at my house, too. It is not sticking, but the odd couple were here so I tiptoed out on the deck to throw them some corn. They retreated to the bank, but didn’t fly away.
Lots of snowflakes on my sweatshirt.
BTW, how's the weather where you are? I see varying alerts going on in parts of your state.
Howdy, Allegra!
Thanks. My favorite kind of lightning. LOL We haven’t had any in a while now so I was glad to have some to admire tonight.
But the rest of the stuff that’s gone on, we all could have done without. Just like all the folks who were in the line of fire last week. It’s time for this wild weather to stop but darn if another tornado warning didn’t pop up SW of Nashville.
It’s going to be a long night, waiting for all this mess to pass through.
