Yeah, you’re probably right. But here’s the thing. Progressives play hardball, always. They come out swinging. Most Republicans prefer to hold their fire, and wait for a better time. And that better time never comes.

It’s like watching a football game where your team is always on defense.

What’s going to come out of this is hardball indeed. The “motion to remove” is going to go away eventually, and it won’t come back, so the party leaders in Congress are going to be more powerful and enforce discipline more harshly.

She has not learned when to attack and when to wait for a more oportune time. She’d have better luck with her strategy if and when a new GOP mojority could start a new session. Until then she needs to fight away on particular policy or money bills not fight her own party to try to get a majority of it to bend to her.
