They have plenty of tar, plenty of feathers, and plenty of rope in Canada.

It's an "ex post facto" law. That is to say, it seeks to punish actions taken in the past, when those actions were legal. A "bill of attainder" prescribes some punishment or outlawry on specific people just for being who they are.

Time to scour the internet and find something Trudeau posted that could be considered hate speech and prosecute him.

That’s why the Right in Canada has long known that consitutions are fake, and don’t protect anything.
'Protection' comes from folks willing to use guns.

Sadly not until November of 2025. Meanwhile he will support of all the parties, except the Conservative Party, to pass this.

They changed statute of limitation laws. Seems somewhat similar.

But they have to be used. Or at credible risk of being used.
The Regime knows that there are lots of privately owned firearms in the USA. It doesn’t seem to deter them.
By contrast, Ceausescu was overthrown by an unarmed population.

It's an ex post facto law, and would be unconstitutional. (A "bill of attainder" is a law that singles out a particular person or group by name and imposes punishments on them without a trial or conviction.)

Ex post facto law. I traveled to Izmir, Turkey in Fall 1992 on business. On arrival, I saw a copy of Stars & Stripes with a story about 5 members of the Turkish parliament that had said something that irritated the rest of the parliament. By Wednesday their utterances were a capital crime. On Friday before I departed, all 5 had been executed. The legal systems outside of the USA are very different.

This kind of thing will happening here too in short order. We are already letting them change the law on the statue of limitations retroactively. This will be the next step.

I would agree with that. Problem is, JT will decide what is and isn’t hate speech.
To: cuz1961
Guess Canada doesn’t have any ex post facto provisions in their constitution.
Not that it would stop the socialists....
