Frat Boy Summer is this year’s backlash against an epidemic of arrogant, entitled women who have been coddled all their lives and think they’re smarter and more important than they really are.

It is a manifestation of the growing political divide between men and women that has been evident in opinion polls for some time. There is a 10-point gap on most issues between men and women.

Young unmarried women, in particular, skew very left, while young men are becoming markedly more conservative.

yet women run most HR departments, police departments, cities, courtrooms, schools, and almost every kids’ classroom

Now finish the definitive of 'yet women', what 'type' of women are a majority in these job descriptions ? There is a common feature to a lot of them.

A large number of frightened, obedient American “men” failed to act like men throughout the Fauci Flu debacle.

Colored women, no less. A double whammy.

That, and the stunning absence of fathers who objected to boys competing and sometimes injuring their daughters in sports. I was convinced that the dads would make a scene at some point.

And they were silent here, too.

Parity between man and women in collegiate matriculation was achieved in the 70's, not the 80's, and not for the first time. That was always a phony feminist issue, but not for several decades did someone notice that differential admissions policies were creating a monster. Now, as the article states, it's 3:2 women/men and the admissions departments are scrambling to catch up. Does anyone think that 3:2 men/women selective admissions policies would be politically acceptable in this identity politics age? Because that's what it would take to achieve parity and it would take four years.

I might also point out that freshman admissions tend to average 18 years of age for both sexes. In other words, those "Frat Boys" are old enough to be service members and some of them are. Those are men. Young men, but men.

I get what you mean about calling them “boys.” I was in the Navy at 18. My shipmates and I had real responsibilities and gained experience no college could provide. OTOH we were goofballs. We need a word for “almost men.”

Sorry, that’s “it would take two years at a four-year institution”. I blame the FR proofreader. Or Society.

The article calls them “frat boys”, to describe that they are young, college going men.

It’s SUPPOSED to make you think of Animal House, but I’m picturing Revenge of the Nerds.
