Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is running for a fourth term in the Senate, he announced Monday, likely cementing the longtime progressive for the coming years in the upper chamber.
Sanders, 82, is the second-oldest member of the upper chamber behind only Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa.), who is 90.
“This is the most important national election in our lifetimes,” Sanders said in a statement. “We must fight to make sure that we remain a democracy, not an authoritarian society. We must fight to make sure that we have a government which represents the working families of our country, not the billionaire class and wealthy campaign contributors. We must fight to make sure that women can control their own bodies, and that we save the planet from the ravages of climate change. The stakes are enormous. This is an election we must not lose.”

>>>Didn’t he honeymoon in the USSR?
He did! Who knows, maybe they consummated the marriage underneath a Statue of Lenin
More instructive as to whether he has communist leanings, in 1980 he ran for election as elector for Clifton DeBerry, the Socialist Workers Party, founded in the late 30s as a Trotskyite alternative to the PCUSA. Seems to me if you stand for public office the communist party, in the absence of an explanation, you were clearly a communist at some point in your political career.
I don’t doubt any of that. But the ones that are over here constantly shopping because of the lack of sales tax, are just weird.
I have met some very nice, conservative Vermonters, but they are outweighed by the others. It gets much worse up near Dartmouth.
I visited Jay Peak the first weekend of March for a ski trip.
It was the first time up in the “kingdom” in probably 20 years.
Even there it had changed quite a bit. There were a lot of big houses up in the fields facing Jay Peak. Big money houses most likely built by “flatlanders” also known as “outlanders” down south.
I still like the “kingdom” because it is similar to Coos county NH. North of notches. Places where most people hunt, fish, snowmobile, have at least two ATVs, and traffic jambs are caused by John Deere’s or Massey Ferguson’s.
Yes, the further out from cities you get and the further north you go, the better you are.
Or the video drops.
The Deep State works hard to compromise its puppets in the US House and Senate.
A new guy or gal would be another few weeks of work.
