“The federal government gives $149 billion annually to American universities.”
How much of this is for research. My project was funded with a federal grant.
The faster they go, the faster they go!!!
The major universities are all multi-billion dollar hedge funds that have college classes on the side.
Heard there's a new flame throwing robot dog - costs about a thousand bucks. Nah, it's the left that burns things down, paints graffiti and uses violence and has organizers paid for by monsters in the US and in the Middle East. We're the people who use flagpoles to break two windows...and go to jail for years.
American universities are the enemy of the nation. They hate America and its constitution. They hate the American people being the sovereign owners of the nation.
These institutions are defaming everything our nation holds sacred as its fundamental principles. They preach hatred of white people while swearing loyalty to the terrorists of Hamas.
They should be destroyed as the dangerous and traitorous enemies they have become.
Another institution taken over by the left.
Gramsci’s long march through the institutions has proven to be a smashing success for the Marxists.
For the most part, they have outlived their usefulness.
If they got back to actually educating young people and teaching them how to think, instead of indoctrinating them, they would be worth hanging onto.
As it is, trade schools are the best option these days for learning a skill to support yourself.
Underlying this in a relatively egalitarian society is the notion that meritocratic admissions policies that produce any sort of disparate impact with regard to the holy Marxist trinity of race, sex, and whatever other class signifier that is the passion of the moment, are inherently oppressive, and worse, that the degrees awarded all have an equal value to the society that is now tapped to support them. It isn't that art history doesn't confer a cultural contribution equal to electrical engineering (I'd submit that it doesn't, but that's neither here nor there), it's that degrees in the respective fields don't.
There are technical fields - information technology, for one - that have adapted to this by emphasizing the value of specific certifications over general degrees when it comes to hiring. That isn't the best news for computer science majors but it's a fact. The trend toward lowering standards in, say, medicine, to force equity in demographics runs up against this trend and leaves social activists in the position of assuring the public that dumb doctors are better for society if they fall into the right demographic categories. Yes, it's stupid. Yes, they're doing it.
I have always wondered why companies don’t create their own mini schools to train future employees who don’t show up woked into stupidness and troublemaking ways.
GOOD. How many more “Gender Studies” graduates does the world need?
