They do ultrasounds for farm animals - cows in this instance. One of the state agencies claim this is “practicing veterinary medicine” (without a license).

This is of course, NOT considered to be practicing veterinary medicine. Its pretty common for farmers to have done to know if their cows are pregnant. Its not even a criminal statute - its civil. The court in this case could not issue a legal arrest warrant.

The suspicion is the the state agency is acting at the behest of some of the state’s veterinarians who would like to take over that business.

You bring the cattle into a pen and one-by-one place them into a cattle squeeze. The vet can determine pregnancy with his hand inserted into the proper place. No ultrasound needed.
