Dry January's popularity is on the up with many younger generations – mainly Gen Z – deciding to spend their weekends alcohol free. While millennials may reminisce back to their Friday nights in their early 20s shuffling foot to foot holding lurid coloured alcopop bottles, Gen Z are choosing to abstain entirely. In fact, recent research conducted by Heineken 0.0, has highlighted that Gen Z alcohol consumption dropped by 25% over the last four years.

I was at a German ‘fest’ situation (in Germany) in the past four days. Half-liter beer was 5.5 Euro (roughly $6). It wasn’t even a premium-beer.
That’s not the study. But definitely after boomers made Marajuana acceptable after Woodstock and other nonsense, it doesn’t surprise me that they are voting to make it legal.

But they appear to be having more mental health issues and also using more drugs.....

I mostly quit drinking around the time I retired at 65. I can still drink any time I want to, but I almost never want to now.
But wow can they mix up a wicked Purple Drank!
Weed use has increased no gain same amount of stupidity around.

That’s a lot for Germany. But it is a “fest.” I was amazed how cheap beer was when I moved there a while back. A half liter of the local beer was 50 cents while a bottle of water was 3 euro at the little restaurant near the office.
