Press Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Judiciary Committee released the full deposition video of Mark Pomerantz, former Special Assistant District Attorney for the New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY).
The Committee recently released an interim report detailing the political origins and motivations of DANY's investigation and prosecution of President Trump.
Judiciary Committee Releases Mark Pomerantz Deposition Video
Lots more "same response" as shorthand for pleading the 5th throughout. Throughout very pertinent and probing questions were basically answered with "I refuse to answer."
Such is the "open" nature of Democrat operatives in this political attack in Trump using lawfare.
Can’t wait for this guy to be called as a witness by Trump’s attorney. Merchan will probably say his testimony is irrelevant.
Oops. Thanks for the correction
Republicans learned nothing from the Chinese funny money hearings during the Clinton administration. Someone who was very involved in the prior mafia trials said that he had never seen so many people pleading the fifth amendment or fleeing the country as during the Clinton era hearings.
Unfortunately, the stupid party ( AKA the party of collusion with Dems), allowed Lawyers to send send in a letter to the committee saying that their client pleaded the fifth. Every one of these crooks should have been required to come to the hearing and sit there reciting the entire pleading the fifth amendment all broadcast on C-Span. Just think of the campaign ads the Republicans could have had for years after.
One of the very many things that I do not understand about the government, is how a government paid employee is allowed to not cooperate with investigations and suffer no negative impact.
In the private world, if an employee does not fully cooperate with investigations internal and external, it is certain termination and loss of all benefits. No appeal.
I simply do not understand why this logical standard does not apply to government. If you are a government employee and fail to fully and completely cooperative with an audit, internal investigation, legal case. Automatic termination, loss of all benefits, can never be rehired.
And yet disgustingly enough....it’ll make no damned difference.
I rather liked that error!
A nice tune-up, a short drop and a sudden stop.
FTTW
From everything I’ve read, this guy is a FORMER government employee.
Congressional committees, inquires, subpoenas etc. don’t mean jackSchiff without exercising the power of the purse.
This criminal administration DOJ,CIA,DHS,FBI, entire executive branch just laughs hysterically while giving the citizens of the UnitedStates a big FU, with guns to back it up !
Mouse turncoat MikeJohnson we’re waiting (likely till hell freezes over)
I won’t defend this guy, but if I were being questioned about a case and I had any doubts of where the investigation was going, I would also plead the 5th.
Why is that shocking? It’s to be expected with this crowd.
........very pertinent and probing questions were answered with an “I refuse to answer” response..........

I’m no fan of Gowdy but wasn’t it during a hearing with Lerner that she was required by law to answer questions or face incarceration?
He stated that had she pled the 5th from the start, she would have been fine. But she answered some questions and then clammed up. Apparently not allowed if I remember it correctly.
Someone feel free to fact check.
