For a wile I was asking guys if their girlfriends/wives had ever tried to kill them and they would laugh at the idea, but when I pursued it asking “none of them ever attacked you with a Knife or a weapon” then they would remember how indeed they had been attacked but how inept the female was and they just laughed at her and disarmed her.
Much of what women do is theater, seeing how much of it you will put up with.
