Must be that these people get checks that “we” give them, and they use it to pay their debt. So we pay, banks get their money, the thievery continues.

My wife went back to a technical school to become a nurse at 39 years old. She busted her tail studying AND working part time while we had 3 kids who were 8/10/12 years old. We took out a loan for her schooling and PAID IT BACK.
Why should WE have to pay for people to go to the Art Institutes??? Anyone going to the Art Institutes should have known what they were getting into.

More vote buying by the Buydung regime, this time bailing out idiots who fell for a scam. Will they also bail out fools who sent money to phone scammers in India?

The government shouldn’t be in the school loan business. Kill it once and for all.

I believe it was pelousy who when chirping on about people should get guaranteed income so they would be free to do the things they wanted to do rather than working. This is an extension of that concept.

Banks don’t do student loans any more. The Feds took over the program after the 2008 financial crisis. Obviously, the Feds cannot forgive private loans. They are forgiving the Federal Loans.

Forgiving valid loans. That is wrong. If they were simply forgiving the interest, making these interest-free, that would be supportable, but to simply forgive them overall, no way.

Understood. I can’t imagine anyone on FR supporting blanket loan forgiveness.

Maybe he’ll figure out a way to reimburse me for the tuition I paid in the 60s when I worked the midnight shift so that I could go to college.
