Days after Donald Trump trashed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on social media, a poll released by Florida Atlantic University and Mainstreet Research suggests the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee has some reason to worry about the third party candidate.
The national poll showed President Joe Biden leading Trump by a single-point in a statistical dead heat, 47% to 46%, among likely voters. But when RFK Jr. was added as an option, Biden's lead grew to 5 points, 44% to 39%. The survey of 1,046 adults has a 3-point margin of error.

Idiotic. There is nobody considering Trump who will instead vote for RFK Junior. Literally nobody. Every vote he gets will come from Biden.
All part of the dem's law-fare plan. Every day spent in court is a day you can't appear on talk shows and podcasts, or hold a rally or fundraiser.
That said, anyone buying in RFK Jr isn't a conservative, but sure enough, I've seen folks right here on FR saying they would vote for him. Some of them came out of the closet when Trump supported Speaker Johnson. Of course Russia would love to have RFK Jr in the White House, so I view freepers who jump from Trump to Kennedy over the Ukraine issue with suspicion, and doubt they were ever conservatives at all.

Hmm. If I am RFK, Jr., I would be more upset with the DNC for calling me unserious than with Trump for simply exaggerating our policy differences, which is pretty much what all opponents do to each other.
So, what if Zogby’s poll is the most accurate poll out there now? Zogby rate better as a pollster than a lot of the traditional polls.
From looking at the internals, it seems as if a lot of the people who responded had low opinions of Trump and Biden and didn’t really know much about RFK, Jr., or aren’t sure what to make of him, so they might have answered that they would vote for RFK, Jr. out of a “better the devil you don’t know than the two devils you do know” mentality.
If this is the case, the advantage I would think would be more toward Trump as the things people learn about RKK, Jr. would tend to be the things moderates would be uncomfortable with.
In this sense, Trump is right. Kennedy is sort of a plant, though Kennedy planted himself.
I wonder if Trump made that comment recently because he knew about the Zogby poll and how strong it is for Kennedy in making his argument that he should be the D nominee, not Biden.
(Although I wonder what happens to RFK’s support among the people who really don’t know much about him when they find out he is one of those dread antivaxxers. Just how many leftist control freaks are left out there who believe in the all powerful Covid vaxx and will support Biden over RFK over this issue?)
I am looking forward to when Kennedy does events in Ohio. I will not vote for him, but I plan to go see him because I want to talk to his supporters to find out what makes them tick.
One thing is for sure, this Zogby poll makes it much more likely that the Biden Administration will drum up something to indict Kennedy with. I’m so hoping that happens because it will be obvious that we are now a banana republic.

This isn’t the same kind of poll. It’s not a poll of what happens in a 3-way race but a poll of what happens in a 2-way race between Biden vs. Trump as opposed to Kennedy vs. Trump.
You think Kennedy wouldn’t have a chance if it is him vs. Trump?
