Days after Donald Trump trashed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on social media, a poll released by Florida Atlantic University and Mainstreet Research suggests the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee has some reason to worry about the third party candidate.
The national poll showed President Joe Biden leading Trump by a single-point in a statistical dead heat, 47% to 46%, among likely voters. But when RFK Jr. was added as an option, Biden's lead grew to 5 points, 44% to 39%. The survey of 1,046 adults has a 3-point margin of error.

If he achieves significance, the spotlight shining on him will show those who will finally be paying attention exactly what he’s all about.
Dealing with these opponents is not difficult as long as you do not allow them to set their narratives. Hammer them over things they believe that turns off voters and do not let them forget the primary issues at present, inflation, high prices and illegal immigration.

No, he’s going to do that by appearing on so-called “conservative” outlets like Fox which gladly promote Trump-haters. RFK’s conservative “cred” would not only NOT be enhanced by appearing on the lunatic leftist alphabet networks, it would be hurt.
What he’s doing is exactly the right thing to help Biden.
Kennedy is gaining ground with the independent right because he’s going on all these shows, doing all these podcasts and interviews and getting his message out.

I don’t see him as an alternative to Trump, but very early on, he was reaching out to Trump voters in his messaging. He’s just too far left on a lot of issues though.
According to RCP’s polling averages Trump’s lead increase when 3rd party candidates are included (instead of a simple two way poll against Biden)

From what I’ve heard RFK Jr sounds more like DJT than The Big Guy. I can easily imagine RFK being a Rat Party plant from the beginning.
Um, no. First, this is a garbage poll. Only likely voters are worth polling. Second, RFK is a left-of-center guy. There’s no way that he appeals to MAGA voters except as it relates to vaccines and anti-censorship. Other than that, he literally has nothing in common with Trump. That’s not enough.
Chris LaCivita, Trump’s co-campaign manager expressed concern. Write him off? My guess is that’s why Trump’s social media over the weekend was so Spivey toward RFKjr.
