Voters don't like Biden's economy — but why?
ABC news ^ | 04 30 2024 | Monica Potts

Americans have been sour on the economy since President Joe Biden was sworn into office. As we head into an election season that is likely to be a 2020 rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump, voters give Republicans and Trump an edge on economic issues. An April 12-14 poll from Echelon Insights found that 57 percent of all voters somewhat or strongly disapproved of the way Biden is handling the economy, and favored Trump on making the economy work better by 48 percent to 40 percent. That's only a recent example of what surveys have routinely shown: Voters aren't happy with Biden's handling of the economy.

But what exactly are voters disapproving of? What do they mean when they talk about the economy? Therein lies a disconnect between most economic indicators that economists consider — things like GDP, the unemployment rate, job growth and inflation — which are all looking up, and how voters feel. When voters measure economic well-being, they're much more likely to use more personal metrics, such as how easily their family can meet their basic needs. That can be more of a feeling than an exact calculation, and right now, the Biden reelection campaign is battling the general sense that everything has gotten a little bit worse.

— but why?

Why? Why? Because it's designed by Obama et al, to do one thing: destroy the USA! From the ashes they'll eagerly build their dream country, a Marxian paradise. Vote Democrat, slaves. Wake up RINOs. If there was ever a time Americans needed you it's right NOW!

Just four years ago, I was able to fill a grocery cart for the same amount of money that now barely covers the bottom of the shopping cart.

My homeowner’s insurance policy has doubled.

My auto insurance policy has doubled (no accidents, claims, tickets, etc).

My electricity costs about 1/3 more than just two years ago.

Fuel? Well, we all know how much more that is.

Farm materials? Fertilizer? Animal feed? Yep, all up a large amount.

Why? The only thing that changed was Biden took office and the dems had both houses of Congress for two years.

That’s the cause and effect.

“Why?”
Because our life savings are now worth much less that in 2019.

Because a visit to the grocery store empties our wallets.

Because gas is above $4 per gallon and cars are much, much more expensive.

Because home prices are through the ceiling and our taxes have increased incredibly.

Duh.

“But, when our fascist overlords give us their metrics (after taking out food, energy, housing, inflations, etc.), it *PROVES* the economy is doing SO much better than the pleebs believe. Whom are you going to believe, us or your lying eyes?”

I’ve adjusted my grocery shopping habits and even then I’m paying way more than I did prior to January 2021. If I was still buying the exactly same basket of groceries as I did under Trump my grocery bill would be close to double.

Instead it’s only up by about 40% to 50%. Does ABC News think the average citizen is that dumb to not realize what is happening with the economy.

Ever notice how when people don’t want to answer a direct question with a direct response, they say “it’s complicated”? I guess the economy is complicated. Or as Paul Krugman might say “it’s nuanced”. It’s all Newspeak for don’t believe your own eyes.
>

Ever notice they say “It’s complicated”, then merely moments after state, w/ 100% confidence, “We (’re|can) ‘fix’ {X}”

All the while being “(unexpectedly) surprised” their prior ‘fixes’....haven’t, time & time again.

Yet, ‘oddly’, not ONE of the faux dichotomy, nor their lackeys in the fake news, dare question their (own) policies let alone the ‘experts’.

“A Republic, if you can keep it”

Pffft, after all the sacrifice it took to create it, it is being stolen by a thief in the night, without a shot being fired.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Face it, we are all guilty of doing...nothing.

Pushing-off our responsibilities on “politicians” is like handing our bank accounts to Bernie Madoff.
>

Being stolen? You mean *BEEN*. The Republic died mid-1800’s. Process to clean the bones ~1913 (thanks “greatest generation”/Boomers). We’re witnessing the last bits of flesh on these bleached bones.

Leave the blame where it squarely lies: The feet of the electorate whom gladly pilfered the Treasury & enslaved our progeny for their own benefit.

But why oh why they wonder.

The gaslighting is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. It’s enough to drive people insane.

“All my pals at Sunningdale are doing just fine. What’s the problem. Juan looks happy while he’s raking leaves and I never hear Maria complain when she’s cleaning up after dinner.”

Gasoline this morning. $5.25 per gallon. My clients and customers are cutting back projects. My very wealthy friends aren’t investing in any new ventures.

Gee, runaway inflation and that real wages are down by double digits under Biden might have something to do with it.

What a load of crap and a hack apologist.

I didn’t really enjoy paying $5.79 per gallon for gas this morning, when it was only $2.27 on January 19, 2021.

I also passed on McD breakfast because it seems like a $12 meal today was only a bit under $5 just 4 years ago.

Statistics are manipulated by authorities — by excluding food and fuel from core inflation statistics for example. And no, first quarter 2024 statistics don’t show things getting better.

Because its a JOKE....

Claiming this is a “GREAT” economy is a flat out lie.

I have lived through the S&L crash, the dot com bust, the RE crash and even Covid, and never ever seen anything as bad as what is going on right now...

It’s the worst I have ever seen in my life, bar none.
