I wouldn’t do military, because I’d probably end up in the brig and dishonourably discharged over not rememberin the pro-nouns.
Men are responding to the incentives before them and acting on it.
Addiction?
What could have started addiction?
The reason they do not work is someone feeds them: parent, girlfriend, friends, social security, some woman with kids. Somebody feeds them. Quit feeding men who do not work.
it’d help if they stopped importing third worlders to do our work
everything from blue collar to the STEM fields is being flooded with third world labor.
rates are falling because of it.
i’ve had a recruit call up looking for a senior systems architect with 20+ yrs of experience and a laundry list of technical requirements... then offer $30/hr
in a world where the burger flippers are getting $20/hr, $30 is nothing in comparison.
American work ethic has gone to hell. Too much free stuff, too much entertainment-oriented attitude.
OTOH, I know a LOT of men in my cohort (65yo +) — including myself — who are still working, not strictly because they MUST but rather because they see value in continuing to work.
And interestingly, we’re in demand to work.
>> Quit feeding men who do not work.
The apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 3:
“A Warning against Idleness”
6Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who leads an undisciplined life that is not in keeping with the tradition you received from us. 7For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not undisciplined among you, 8nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. Instead, in labor and toil, we worked night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9Not that we lack this right, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate. 10For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat.”
11Yet we hear that some of you are leading undisciplined lives and accomplishing nothing but being busybodies. 12We command and urge such people by our Lord Jesus Christ to begin working quietly to earn their own living. 13But as for you, brothers, do not grow weary in well-doing.
Even if they are willing to work, the system will hire anybody else but the men, especially white men
I stopped working for pay.
I do plenty of work for the Nuke-lee-are fam, neighbors and friends.
It’s all Tax Free!.
No more being a tax slave.
In 1980 the people decided with us that the economic crisis was not caused by the fact that they lived too well. Government lived too well. It was time for tax increases to be an act of last resort, not of first resort.
The people told the liberal leadership in Washington, "Try shrinking the size of government before you shrink the size of our paychecks."
My reply 11 - President Ronald Reagan’s Remarks . . .
The ordinary male that is not willing to work at least 1/3 of his waking hours deserves nothing more than the residual scraps left behind by the other productive males.
My advice to young family men is to put in a solid 40/week and no more. For the truly ambitious that can honestly manage both work & family, no more than 60/week. And then there’s the rest of us psychos foolishly working 90/hour weeks give or take... lol
My tombstone: Gene Eric worked hard to be the wealthiest corpse in the graveyard but never came close. May he rest in poverty.
Of course it couldn’t be these men are being replaced by foreign
nationals could it.
Checking out of a gynocentric social and work society that is greatly unappreciative of them.
Their jobs were taken by foreigners? I am pretty certain that is the big reason.
Try to find a handyman just about anywhere. One Latino acquaintance I know paints houses to feed his cocaine habit.
In the meantime, 100,000 die annually of fentanyl poisoning.
Doubling the workforce with women without doubling the need for labor for $100-Alec.
they claimed at the time-no effect on wages. They cited this ridiculous concept-the Lump of Labor Fallacy-feel free to look it up and LOL.
we’re 50yrs or so later at this point and they point the finger at everything else.
I went back to work as a caregiver.
You know, it helps me pay off debt, and to be honest, it’s
nice to help people who can’t do without it.
The pay isn’t super, but it fit within my need for income.
I’m on my way to paying off secured and unsecured debt in
the amount of $55,000 in about 30 months.
This Floridian hears accented English everywhere I go in the state.
(And only one Southerner...!)
