Politically speaking, Donald Trump is all I have left to believe in.
Because since 2020 I’ve learned that:
Elections can be stolen and it’s fine.
Some Americans don’t have the right to protest.
The democrats don’t govern by the Constitution anymore.
Having Alzheimer’s is no big deal if you’re president.
We don’t really need border security.
Crime does pay if you’re a certain race.
Congress doesn’t really control the purse.
Democrats will import illegal voters to keep the White House forever.
And the Republicans don’t work for us, they work for the democrats.
The only rule that hasn’t been broken, is that Donald Trump LOVES AMERICA.
The country I pay taxes to live in.
That’s why I’ll be first in line to vote for him on November 5th.

I have discouraged it so much it no longer
happens here.
Hubby and I have pretty much become recluse.
We like it that way.
I can sure understand that. Actually, if I thought that was the case, I would be welcoming to the person. This was not the case....
I know a few people who think nothing of doing this - they are extended “family.” They actually think so highly of themselves (don’t ask me why as I have yet to figure that out) that they assume people would just love to see them whether invited or not, and they don’t even call. Just knock on the door and expect a warm welcome, because who wouldn’t want them over?

Lol, between you and me, norsky, it’s not worth it. It doesn’t happen that often, and the dog doesn’t come with an on/off switch, so I’d be dealing with him instead!

(But it’s OK norsky, I don’t expect guys to have the same social cues as women. Hope you wanted to just drop in on someone when we were driving penny around. This guy lives in the middle of nowhere, I’m assuming on purpose. I told him to at least call, even if it was from the mailbox. lol.)
I really value my alone time. I wasn’t calling it being a recluse, but maybe that fits! When hubby is gone on travel or to visit family, I take full advantage of all that alone time. That’s when I color my hair, wear grungy clothes and work outside, reorganize my cabinets putting everything on the counters, or spend all day reading with nobody interrupting me. I cherish that time.
I woould probably pretend like I wasn’t home if that happened like with that couple you know. Kind of hard to do if I don’t have the blinds drawn. LOL.

I miss my Giant Sequoias. We had several groves of them within walking distance of the cabin. Every time I saw them it would take my breath away. All the big ones had evidence of Fire damage. There’s something in their bark that stops IT from burning completely. And the fire is needed to open up the seed pods. So the intervention of the forest rangers suppressing fires has caused there to be no baby sequoias. More unintended consequences of liberalism.
