Currently, numerous New York police officers, equipped in riot gear with bats, helmets, and riot shields, are outside Columbia University in Manhattan. The streets around the campus have been completely shut down by the Strategic Resource Group (SRG), a unit known for violent arrests in response to civil unrest. Speculation is that a raid is imminent, with armored vehicles possibly mobilizing with possible violence protest might occur after following last night’s incident. The police just went into Hamilton Hall.
Ironic that they’re now calling up, and, depending on the very ones they’ve demeaned, and, defunded to get them out of THEIR mess.
