The word "exoneration" doesn't mean what President Trump seems to think it does. It means "being cleared of charges" and "proven justified"". 'Persecuted' would have been the right word.

Unless he's saying his tormentors are trying to justify and exonerate themselves. But hey...If I were tortured as long as he has I doubt being able to talk at all.
