I suspect many of the people in the building are not university students, but rather professional protesters/organizers. Either way, if they were serious, Columbia would have requested/planned a large mobilization of NYPD riot police to retake the building and arrest everyone inside and charge them with at minimum trespassing, breaking and entering, disorderly, conduct, vandalism, destruction of private property, etc.
They will have to face free legal representation to get the school to back down and get a payout
This is not a protest, it’s the opening moves of a war. These are not students and should not be treated as such, they are enemy combatants, they have chosen sides, they wear the colors of the enemy, they should be captured if possible, held for the duration of this war and interrogated vigorously as long as they are in captivity.
