ive West Virginia middle school students who protested a trans athlete's participation in a shot put competition have been banned from future competitions.

Becky Pepper-Jackson, 13, competed in the Harris County Middle School Track and Field Championship on April 18, two days after a federal appeals court ruled West Virginia’s transgender sports ban violates the teen's right under Title IX.

Five girls from Lincoln Middle School stepped up to the circle for their turn, then refused to throw the ball.

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education on the student's behalf after they were banned from future events.

'I will do everything in my power to defend these brave young girls. This is just wrong. We must stand for what’s right and oppose these radical trans policies,' Morrisey said on Monday.

The Attorney General posted his tweet in response to Women's rights activist and former college swimmer Riley Gaines, who has stood by female athletes who have refused to compete against transgender athletes.

This is a chance for AG Morrisey to shine brightly by defeating this, and it will propel him to the Governorship.

I disagree with you. Riley Gaines isn’t 50 years old. She was a competitive NCAA swimmer until 2022.

Remember that she had already been openly opposed to trannies competing in women’s sports at the time. There was more than enough “info on it” available to every one of these competitors.

She probably would have lost a scholarship if she had one and got kicked out of school.

That’s kind of my point. She comes across as completely disingenuous when she clamors for other girls to take a stand (and pay the price for it) that she wasn’t willing to take.

in a good society, all the athletes would stop playing immediately...all the parents would be supportive of them...

alas, the times we live in....wimpy men and all too lenient women.

“et tu, WV?”

Seriously. I mean, if this were California or New York or New England, I’d shrug. But West-freakin-Virginia?! If even WV has embraced the LGBT agenda, then I’m sorry... this country is officially screwed.

exactly. She was a young college athlete concentrating on school and her sport. She thought her coach school someone would speak up and prevent the male from competing.
Do you have a link showing she had spoken out against men competing in women’s sports before 22?
Surely you are glad she is speaking out now? If not her Who?
