Or, perish the thought, if they had not stolen the suv. They would be alive and well. But we do not want to go that far. But someone other than them must be blamed. Number one is the auto company that built the suv. Number two is the Police Officer who apprehended them. I understand that it is petty, but number three person on the blame totem pole is the legal owner of the suv for not giving to to the future brain surgeons and rocket scientists when they seen that they wanted it.
yeah, that is the intention. I see one of those kids has a blunt in his hand in the pics.
the police cars couldnt keep up because they have a governor?
Harsh but they found out about how FAFO works.
It figures. But at least one was a football star , so all is forgiven.
I certainly don’t view them as innocent kids out on a lark. But I really thought most police/sheriff’s departments had banned the use of the PITT when a SUV was involved.
That however must be weighed against the very real danger they placed other innocent people in. They won a very stupid prize for a very stupid game.
This story is written like I should GAS. I don’t.
Out for a lark, no doubt.
So...why did they deserve this?
Were they wanted for murder?
Let them go if it’s something minor.you can catch them later
I remember some kids from school that went to harras some other kids.
The cops started chasing them.
The kids crashed and everyone died... because they harassed some other kids
I assure you Alachua County the home of UF is probably not DeSantis country.
Long ago, as part of drivers ed training, the state police ran a film of traffic accidents. Pieces, parts, got the point across. I recall a parent looking through the small square window of the classroom door, to see if the kid was paying attention. Bless the highway patrol, and bless the good parents.
Bless the road maintenance crews, and rescue crews, too,
Horrifying police using standard mechanisms to stop violent felons. Stupid behaviors can cause death. I dislike the poise. I a will rarely defend police. But pit maneuvers for high speed chase is normal. If they pulled over and got shot for no DL or registration then I would be bitching.
Ankle monitors didn’t stop these four criminals from committing more crime.
I’m glad that no innocent people were hurt or killed.
The police officer is a hero, in my opinion, because he prevented them from crashing their stolen car into innocent bystanders. The thieves were driving 111 mph before they crashed and died. If the police officer hadn’t stopped them with his own car, they could have killed a whole bunch of innocent people.
All four thieves in the stolen car are dead. I blame them, their parents, and the legal system that wrongfully thought that all they needed were ankle monitors.
I do not blame the police officer for their deaths, although I do understand why some people might.
It’s also really a shame that the police department (default to taxpayers) will likely be sued to the tune of millions of dollars by the families of these criminal thugs. Someone will think they should have just left them alone, not a violent crime or some similar justification.....
OOF....true, but OOF...
Nor do I.
No, they crashed and died because they tried to flee instead of pulling over, like civilized people do.
And don't blame youthful hijinks either. I saw cop lights behind me on more than one occasion when I was a teen. I had the good sense to pull over and take the ticket.
I wouldn’t be surprised if FL dems propose do not chase rules for the cops.
dam,,, command scene ,,,,finally shows up.....
No, it was because they violated the law. They stole a motor vehicle. Which in the State of Florida is a felony crime.
