Never-Trump Republicans aren't as popular as they and the media think they are.

Nahhh, you got in because you believed you could help Joe Biden get re-”elected”.

With a name like “Peter Major”, I bet he is all full of himself. In the end he is just a first-rate Dick.

You could say that Meijer is leaving publix service, since the voters graded him aldi’s. If his successor cuts the budget, we might sav-a-lot.

".... only increases the likelihood of a divisive primary that would distract from the essential goal —
conservative victories in November."
Bullshit. This guy doesn't have a fraction of clue as to what the word "conservative" actually means. He's only afraid of splitting the RINO vote in the primary (with Amash) and letting Rogers win.
Rogers is FAR from being a perfect conservative, but the Senate already has a sufficient number of Trump-hating RINOs in it (not to mention 100% of Democrats), and we don't need to add another one.
As I've written before, the GOP primary debates would have been interesting at least in the sense of watching Meijer and Amash duke it out over which one hates Trump more. As long as they both lose in the end, that's what counts.
The Michigan Senate election in November is definitely "lean D" but the recent polls confirm that Rogers fares far better against Slotkin and her huge-$$$ advantage than Gadfly Amash does, and he might be able to get this into tossup range.
Meijer didn't even show a pulse in the polls, which is another reason for him to crawl back into his hole.

He just realized that he has been played by the RATS and his political future is over.
You would think that after McCain, Crazy Liz and Flake, they would figure this out for themselves.

Republican who voted to impeach Trump states “I got into this race because I believed I had the strongest chance of winning in November.”
The lack of self-awareness is staggering.

In my opinion, RINOs carry a certain psychology. I had a few of these types in my fraternity. Mommy and daddy nurtured raised them to good little boys and they did what they were told, by their parents and their teachers - and, of course, were rewarded. They grew up believing they were, in fact, "good people" and "better than the other kids", hiding the latter under a thin veneer of false humility and, usually, their "faith". Pence is the poster child for this phoney, image made of glass. The good news with these types is that they will protect the illusion and delusion at all costs as it's their precious identity wrapped over an abundance of insecurity, so they are easy to defeat. They will run away before being exposed. They hold 1/1,000,000 of Trump's thickened skin, talent, and intelligence so their SOP is to quit, then blame YOU for the reason.
(Now, with Liz Cheney, that's a different issue and it has to do with daddy and daddy's uncles... and trouble with mommy. )

That word “former” goes so well in the description of GOP office holders who turned against Trump.
