Anti-Jewish, pro-Hamas protesters — such as those seen at Columbia and Yale — will be expelled if they try to pull the same stunts at Florida universities, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) made clear on Thursday.
“You think about what happened when you have these Hamas demonstrators out. They’re taking over bridges, and they’re taking over roads,” he said, noting that these individuals do not have the right to do that.
“How do you know if someone — someone may need to get to a hospital. Someone may need to pick up a child somewhere, and you’re just going to commandeer the road,” he said, highlighting the viral instance that saw protesters trying to pull that same stunt in Miami, Florida. In a matter of minutes, police officers responded, dragging the protesters out of the roads:

I agree with you about the foreigners but what if the American students were protesting COVID lockdowns, vax mandates, mask mandates, university DEI policies, stolen elections, etc... would you still kick them out of school for protesting?
Or does some speech get protected and other speech doesn’t? Who gets to decide? You?
If an illegal immigrant, export them.
Don’t forget there’s a lot of hungry alligators in Florida. I hear they like to eat halal food.
Should they be allowed to block roads and bridges just because they would be American students?
Universities are starting to look like the ones in Germany in the 1930’s Hitler training years.
It ain’t like Biden will do anything about it because it fits the agenda comrades.
Meatball needs to drop some fart bombs on them
If you’re protesting mask mandates by going around harrasing and/or threatening the mask wearers then yes, you should be disciplined up to and including expulsion. And as a previous poster says, you don’t get to block the roads either. The good news is our side generally doesn’t engage in this kind of behaviour.
Continuing to lead, actions over words, no drama, no baggage, no insults and name calling.
once again, florid shows the rest of the country the path to follow, which of course they’ll refuse because most of the rest of the country prefers chaos and lawlessness and prefers “rights” of criminals and illegal aliens over those of the working class of native americans ...
That is a very loose description of what you think they are doing. Would you consider displaying banners in a public space which Jews find offensive to fall under that description?
If you are referring to actually getting in an innocent bystander's face, then I would agree with everything you said. However, I don't think that is what is happening the vast majority of the time. If you are referring to arguing back at counter protesters or displaying offensive signs, this can't be banned and you are un-American if you think it should be.
I assume you would agree that as long as they are in a public area (not impeding traffic) they should be able to say or advocate for whatever they want, correct?
Why do these terrorists and terrorist sympathizers even bother to have these protests at the colleges, where the administration and faculty mostly agree with them, but have no power to effect any change in government policy?
Why don’t these stupid malcontents go and protest where their fury could actually get to the people who make the decisions?
Why don’t they go to D.C. and protest at the White House and the Capitol and the Pentagon? Why don’t they go and protest at the homes of Senators and Representatives?
Why don’t they go and protest at the factories of the Military Industrial Complex, and protest at the homes of the M.I.C. CEOs?
And if they really believe in their ‘Cause’, why don’t they head to ‘Palestine’ enlist in Hamas, and pick up a rifle or strap on a bomb to actually fight ‘the evil Joos’?
No. They should definitely be arrested for that. They should have been arrested for that in 2020 when they were protesting against white people. For some reason we didn’t rise to the level of needing protection by our government.
and the desantis supporters are still posting stuff to kill support for Trump...
as if somehow Trump was kept off the republican ballot, desanctimonious would become the republican presidential nominee...
Well, if that happens, the nevertrumper’s dream of keeping Trump from being re-elected happens, and biden gets another 4 years
DeSantis is still living rent free in your head. Your obsession with him is sick and deranged.
Seek help.
And learn how to spell. You write like an illiterate buffoon.
He also slammed the Ukraine/Taiwan/Israel funding bill for having nothing for YS border security in exchange for passage.
I did not hear Mr “Art of the Deal” say anything about the crap bill that funds more border crossers. Instead, he endorsed Speaker Johnson,
We will all vote for Trump but wish we had a real conservative leader, like DeSantis, as our nominee instead of the RINO endorser we ended up with.
Are these State schools?
Finally. I too am wondering how a governor has the ability to expel someone from a school. Even if it’s a state school, there would need to be legislation and/or FL Dept of EDU rules in place.
I like him as governor. I didn’t like that he lied and said he wasn’t going to run for president
