It’s used as a marketing term now by just about anybody and everybody with software (even if it’s just a device with a chip and built in configuration), so I don’t have to “get over it”. I’m not going to cry or throw a tantrum because it’s not that important to me, but it’s a ridiculous mis-appropriation, and it’s not even common or colloquial parlance change, it’s commercial deceit. So I’m happy to correct it when I see it.
