Pope Francis has stated that “deniers of climate change” are “foolish” as they don’t believe “research,” and insisting that “climate change exists.”

In comments made to CBS Evening News and aired April 24, the 87-year-old Pontiff decried those whom CBS’s Norah O’Donnell described as “deniers of climate change.”

“There are people who are foolish, and foolish even if you show them research, they don’t believe it,” responded Francis. “Why? Because they don’t understand the situation or because of their interest, but climate change exists.”

Believers in climate change are communists, including Red Francis.

“There are people who are foolish, and foolish even if you show them research, they don’t believe it,” responded Francis. “Why? - says the Pope.

Because much of the research is political and flawed. Also there is research which counterdicts the green scientists.

But on the other hand he is correct in that there is climate change, for climate has been continuously changing since the earth was created and it has nothing to do with human activity.

Ironically, Martin Luther made Pope Francis possible. If anything, Pope Francis is Martin Luther’s pope.

Thank you, mjp, for those links. Of the three links, only the mdpi.com link worked for me while the others were not found. Atmospheric Advection (https://www.mdpi.com/2073-4433/11/1/29) - The article discusses atmospheric phenomenon associated with heavy-particulate concentrations and dispersal from mainly volcanic sources and consequential possible long-term (months or years) affects. The article addresses the one issue which does cause a climatic distress of [relatively] short duration, that of heavy particulate suspensions. Aside from that circumstance - heavy-particulate suspensions caused by volcanoes or, if atmospheric conditions are opportune, dust storms or forest fires - there is no long-term affectation of weather from the normal heat sinks that are merely water-based. Theoretically, if sufficient concentrations of heavy pollutants were present then such circumstances could cause significant weather disruptons, but such circumstances are relatively rare.
In very abbreviated form, here’s my point of view. In the long-term, climate is not an atmospheric phenomenon - it is (earth’s) surface-based. Most often, when one is talking atmosphere, one is talking weather, even long-term weather. The atmosphere has insufficient mass to sustain thermal content more than a few days or - at most - two to three weeks without recharging/replenishment of energized water vapor/water condensate from the surface in the event of warming, or an infusion of cold-charged/ice/snow condensate.
Climate starts at the earth’s surface, whether the ground or sea, and radiates upward. Two effects charge the heatsink of earth’s climate: the tilt of the earth’s axis, and the moon. The atmosphere moves the thermal content stored in the vapor/condensate according to the biases of the seasonal tilt of the earth’s axis which causes the winter/summer thermal exchanges. And the moon provides the tidal pulse that is the heart-beat of climate through the currents generated by that tidal pulse combined with the earth’s rotation.
That’s the short gist of my thinking. Weather is the expression of climate, where climate is the thermodynamic system that stores/releases the energy that powers weather.
Peace.
