Let me guess…your bills include lavish vacations, eating out frequently, high end clothing, a cleaning lady for your domicile, a fancy car, and specialty wines from your favorite vineyard. That is the LA way, right?
LOL. Reminds me that I moved back to USA in 2018, we arrived with 6 bags, that was it to restart our lives in the USA. I used the VA to buy a house, bought a 2nd hand PU truck, and proceeded to move in. We did a lot of shopping on Craigs list, the Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. I’m not embarrassed to wear 2nd had clothes. And we made it.
That’s often the problem. Too many people live above their means, and they go into debt over material things like what you mentioned. Add to that the crippling Biden economy and people are getting crushed and working just to pay debt, with nothing left over to save.
Don’t forget the latest upgraded cell phone and frequent trips to Pricey Coffee Place.
Pretty much each generation has their own preferences for luxuries they will crawl over broken glass to get versus what they really need. But so many in the younger generations seem to have many more expectations for luxury versus needs but just don’t understand that everyone else shouldn’t be expected to foot the bill.
