No but seriously, why are protests at Columbia University the business of the Speaker of the House?
It’s not even in his own state.
There are protests in just about every state.
federal money goes there and is subject to rules against discrimination etc, to start. also to think that the rise in antisemitism isn’t everyone’s concern seems offbase to me. how is that America?
Because boatloads of Federal dollars (ie our money) goes to grants for these overpriced luxury resorts, otherwise known as universities.
It’s insane the wealth that has been lavished on these institutions while rural and inner urban areas decay into meth and xylazine infested hellholes.
Johnson said, Four More Years, pause…
Four More…
This is almost as bad as Chuck Schumer racing to stand in front of the cameras to make a public statement about a train wreck in some obscure place nowhere near the state he represents.
You answer your own question in your subsequent post (#18):
The fact is, Federal dollars should have stopped going to universities the moment they became ideologically captured by the Left. That it takes anti-Israel protests to draw even a slight bit of negative attention is quite frankly a sign of how perverse Congress’s priorities are (as if we didn’t need more reminders).

Columbia University gets Federal money.

It is the job of the uniparty to defend Israel at all costs. Nationwide (or worldwide) demonstrations against Israel is a definite problem for the cause.
The United States attracted the vote of precisely nobody to oppose the Security Council action to recognize a Palestinian state; it had to cast a veto upon an otherwise unanimous vote of approval, with two abstentions.
There are mass demonstrations against Netanyahu in Israel.
