Absolutely the slowest election so far I have worked.. worked every election for last 10 years.
My borough is consistently among the highest in turnout in our county in terms of percentage of eligible voters who vote.
Not overly surprising there really isn’t anything major contested on either parties ballot to draw voters.
At least at the congressional level and Senate, there are no meaningful Republican primaries anywhere in PA today.
Democrats have a large field in the Attorney General race, with the winner probably being solidly favored in November. Rats are also going to make big runs for the other 2 statewide offices that are up this year, and have a good chance to get at least one of the 2 with whoever the nominees turn out to be. Garrity (Republican treasurer) has a large war chest, but Republicans in the other 2 races trail big-time in $$$$.
On the congressional side, there are high-profile Rat primaries in districts 10 and 12. A couple of racists are battling in CD-12 with the winner almost certainly advancing in November, and a bunch of hate-filled ultra-liberals are battling to see who gets to oust Scott Perry in November in CD-10. It will be interesting to see today’s outcomes in those 2 districts, but not much else.
Vote Dave SUNDAY - AG
pro second amend.
vote NISSLEY in 100th leg. dist.
oust cutler rino.
Turnout today might be low, due to mail in voting.
Temporarily filling-in for lightman, while he's smashing PA's demonKKKrat voting poll fraud and corruption,
on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
Wife and I went in at 9AM——Very, very light voting in Bucks county. We were. number 18 and 19! I used to work these polls and primaries were usually “light” but this was almost non existent.
Forgot one potentially interesting outcome to watch: state House district 172, where dipso Democrat Kevin “Don’t You Know Who I Am???!!!” Boyle is running for re-election.
Doyle has been on the lam since threatening some people when he was drunk off his liberal ass in a bar earlier this year. He has also been illegally (remotely) voting on legislation in the PA House during his flight from the law, which is critical given the 102-101 margin the Rats have there.
By a remarkable coincidence I’m sure, hyper-partisan Democrat Philly D.A. Larry Krasner just YESTERDAY “withdrew” the arrest warrant which had been issued on Boyle.
The D.A. claimed there was a “piece missing” in the case, that piece apparently being: “Boyle is a Republican”. Since Boyle is NOT a Republican, the two-tiered justice system works in his favor, as Dirty Larry has ensured.
Boyle still may lose today, and most Democrats hope he does. Otherwise Republicans have a decent chance to stomp him in November and pick up a seat which should be somewhat marginal but normally favors Democrats pretty heavily these days.
No. Mail in voting, is nothing for note think the numbers statewide were 122k mail in ballots cast.
Sorry 833k mail is distributed… not out of line. Last General election about 1/3 of ballots were mail in
I went to the N. Sherman St Fire Station in East York, where I’ve voted for 34yrs, and it was a ghost town. I was #21, and the ladies said it was a “light turnout” so far.
Yes primaries are lighter absolutely but this is by far the lightest election I have worked ever.
My district is at 17 total voters at 11am, normally we’d have that, even in an off year primary in an hour at most
It is dead.
Interesting. I would’ve thought it was higher.
He I think that number is off. They sent out about 800k mail in ballots.
But still not out of line. About 1/3 of votes are mail in anymore.
This election is just dead.. I am sure some districts that may have something contested might have some turnout but as I have said this is the slowest election I have ever worked.. and been doing it for a decade.
Nothing really contested of note, and clearly neither party made any major statewide GOTV effort statewide.
I’ve worked uncontested elections before but this is beats all of them in terms of slowness.
Finally topped 20 votes in my district, and it’s 11:20… breakdown has been about equal by party so far.
District is a slight Republican majority in terms of registration. I expect that GOP should have a better overall turnout numbers just based on Trump loyalist enthusiasm.. but so far even split and low low low turnout. Will see what happened in the evening hours
Thanks for the info. Not a lot of interest in this primary. We’ve gotten a lot less mail from candidates than we usually get.
Continues to be insanely slow day…
44 voters total for the day so far in my precinct.
I was first in line for the 3rd ward of my borough in Northampton County. I arrived about 10 minutes before the polls were even open, and there was only 1 person behind me when I left. Very slow day. Either lots of mail-in voting, or lots of people aren’t interested in voting this year.
Just voted for Trump!
Quite honestly they did a horrible job pushing primary day——my wife and I thought it was May 7th until someone at our church reminded us it was today.
Just voted for Sunday and, of course, Trump!
I went in to vote around 1:00. I was the only one there. Maybe people vote on the way from work or on the way home. I just retired so this is my first middle of the day vote. I didn’t note the number of voters before me.
That’s really slow.
