Not sure I buy this. The port is anticipated to reopen by the end of May.

Spot on.

The first priority of shipping restoration is the “national defense corridor”.

Note that there was a similar barge/ship vs. bridge incident in Pittsburgh this week.

I expect more of the same.

Another month might be all they need to clear debris from the river.

Shipping via boat should resume at that point or was Port of Baltimore “closed until further notice” before 1977?
