When we say MOAB I always think of the Bible.

Psalm 60:8
Moab is my washpot, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
Other translations “my washbasin.”

Also a book title used by Stephen Frye (psychiatrist on Bones and was Jeeves in the British Jeeves and Wooster TV series).
