Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, reiterated a major threat against Israel, stating that any action against the country’s interests will receive a severe response. The information was published by the Iranian Republican News Agency ISNA, on Tuesday, April16.
Raisi’s threat comes after the Israeli Army stated that it will respond to Iran’s attacks ‘with actions, not words,’ as earlier reported by TGP.
According to ISNA, the Iranian President emphasized the need to take deterrent measures against the conflict in the Gaza Strip. He also criticized the support of some Western countries for Israel.
Raisi also stated that Iran’s attack on Israel falls within its legitimate right to self-defense and in response to Israeli attacks on its interests, especially the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
The president further said that his country considers ‘peace and stability’ in the region essential for Iranian national security, emphasizing that Iran would not hesitate to make any effort to restore peace and stability in the region.
The attack was not confirmed by Israel, although representatives from Iran and Syria accused the Israeli government of the attack.

Pakistan has 200 million Muslims and the bomb. Turkey has 83 million Muslims and one of the strongest militaries in NATO. If Israel unites the Muslims, Israel loses. Iran is a police state akin to Red China or North Korea, with the difference being that Iran is not Communist but radical Islamic. Israel and the West would be foolish to hope for a spontaneous uprising when dissenters are imprisoned or have left the country. Instead, Israel must take action so decisive that Iran will back down and not try to block the Straits of Hormuz. The only other action would be for Israel to back down. Half measures will fail and possibly widen the war.

Israel can hold its own in its little sandbox. If it draws in the more powerful non-Arab Muslim states, Israel would get crushed.

Again, it is the non-Arab Muslim nations that pose an existential threat to Israel if it ventures outside its little sandbox.
They all know that the Arabs on the West Bank and in Gaza are impossible to get along with.
If they try to push the Arabs out of Gaza, or to eliminate them, Israel may face the wrath of other muslim nations. Israel is just going to have to learn to get along. As long as Israel unlawfully occupies muslim territory, it should expect acts of terrorism.
Gaza and the unlawfully occupied territories are Israel's problem. Nobody seems to like the Palestinians, not even the other Arabs, but that does not mean Israel can do a genocide or a land grab.
Striking out at a muslim diplomatic facility was not a very wise move. If Israel ever alienates an American administration, it may look like Ukraine.
Iran demonstrated it can land old missiles on Israeli military targets. Iran provided lots a drones and/or drone technology to Russia. Presumably Iran got something in return. Russia has demonstrated that its hypersonic missiles defeat the advanced anti-air defense systems. There are unconfirmed reports that Iran has test-fired hypersonic missiles. A nation the size of Israel does not want to start a war and find out its super duper air defense system does not work against what the other guy throws at them. The biggest existential threat of all is Israel irritating Uncle Sugar to the point where it it stops receiving aid or UN vetoes. It is election season and Uncle Sugar does not want another war right now. Israel will bend the knee and behave for a few months. Or not. The U.S. will protect Israel with vetoes. Or not. One only needs to go back to last month to find the U.S. refusing to veto a cease-fire demand at the UN. There was wailing and gnashing of teeth and Netanyahu declaring that, the refusal to veto was “a clear retreat from the consistent U.S. position in the Security Council since the beginning of the war.”
In terms of diplomacy, it communicated a very clear message. BTFO. Having been spanked, Israel made a magical withdrawal from Gaza.

I doubt either party is capable of a charm offensive. Israel's grand alternatives include genocide or forced removal of the population. Either invites a possible conflict with one or more of the larger Muslim nations. Turkey has said it would intervene. Israel's only hope would be U.S. boots on the ground intervention.
Uncle Sugar told them to heel and they withdrew from Gaza. Gaza is not going away and the unlawful occupier of Palestinian territory is not taking away the last little bit of Palestine. Israel has the firepower to overwhelm Gaza, yet after months and months of an offensive, there it is. Israel dares not.
What is breathtakingly ignorant is to believe that Israel can go around blowing up diplomatic facilities in a third nation and not lose what little support that it enjoys. It is not easy to suffer a terrorist attack and wind up losing support.
Don't start a major war and expect the U.S. armed forces to die to win it. Cf. Ukraine.
