Conservative Brief ^ | 15 April 2024 | Martin Walsh

Fox News legal analyst and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley believes that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is wading into uncharted territory.

During an interview on Fox News, Turley spoke about jury selection for Bragg’s case beginning Monday, which involves allegations of a “hush money” scheme and cover-up.

Turley called Bragg’s case against Trump “legally absurd.”

However, it’s in the people’s republic of New York. Trump hatred is required of the citizenry. Trump will be found guilty, and they will try to jail him.

Legally absurd, just like the Colorado case, and others. I think this is why one pundit, several months ago, quipped, “Trump is just one indictment away from the presidency.

He was genius when he said, “it’s not me they’re after. It’s you. All of these are the equivalent of a truck driver being pulled over and the book thrown at him for doing 66 in a 65 mph zone. We all know why cops write such tickets.

“Trump hatred is required of the citizenry”

The DA will make sure of that in the jury selection.

Those are the facts in this echo chamber called FR but the left is convinced that Trump is a criminal. They have a whole different set of “facts” they’ve been fed by the MSM that delineate every wrongdoing.

When Bragg refused to enumerate the precise felony that Trump furthered by this ‘falsifying’ of business records, that turned the charge from an statute of limitations expired misdemeanor to a felony, the judge in this case should have issued a summary judgement in favor of Trump, and jury selection wouldn’t have even been necessary.

The process is the punishment.

Chris Krispy says, if PDJT becomes a convicted felon and/or is thrown in jail, he'll likely loose some or all of the swing states. So yes, there is a lot of punishment potential in the process.

Assuming "legally absurd" is the correct and clear majority view, everything that goes sideways from that is an indication of corruption in the legal system.

The persecution of Trump is strange. At least three of the prosecutors are black. Jack Smith is essentially from Holland. Merchan is Columbian, Chutkan is Jamaican, Mehta is from India. McCafee and Engorgon are the only American judges in the Trump cases.
Judge Cannon has been pretty good, but she’s Columbian.

This persecution prosecution Bill of Attainder activity is almost 100% black or foreign.

And with so many foreign born judges rising higher and higher, we will soon get a Supreme Court Judge who is a foreign immigrant. There is no natural born requirement for that.

Sickening.

Jonathan Turley is a straight shooter

and completely misses the point of a political persecution

they are interfering in the election

beyond that they do not really care

Yep. I’ve seen it. I thought an interesting perspective was brought up by someone on youtube yesterday. They asked the viewer to imagine there is no “Trump Bookeyman” and we’re in an age of “politics as usual”.

In such a world, how would one interpret the claims of misdeeds by Biden and his son? My take is that it would probably be more scandalous than Watergate, et al.

But that’s just me. I think that anyone voting “for” biden is really just voting against Trump. You’d have to be extremely low IQ AND ignorant to vote “for” biden.

There was no affair. There was an extortion accusation from a porn star and whore. She decided a couple of weeks before the election to try to bilk him for more.

No way Trump, the famous germaphobe, would have bedded down that germ infested human toilet.

The Confederate Bragg boy was willing to do anything to get his 15 minutes of BS fame. What a New Jerk idiot. He’ll probably be one of the next new hosts on Whoopi Cushion’s, “The Sty”.

under New York Law, the crime is fraud: i.e. using false business records to gain something. Under New York precident, that doesn't even need to be money, but any advantage. Nevertheless, the records need to be given to someone to be fraud, my understanding is that they were not. They came to comb through his records so it's not even fraud. It's like getting thrown in jail for making a mistake in your personal Quicken database.

How they get away with not specifying the felony is a mystery to me:

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation;

I would have told the judge that my client won't even plead until the charges are specified. I would have taken it straight to the Federal Courts after that.

The White House or DOJ is behind most if not all of these prosecutions. Having a black or foreign (or both) prosecutor means that anyone who criticizes the obvious illegalities in the cases can be attacked as a racist.

I think in the Middle Ages when the Inquisition investigated someone, that person was not entitled to know what he was suspected of being guilty of.

This is New York City in 2024. You never expect the Spanish Inquistion.

It is absurd.

Trump being punished for being extorted by his former shyster lawyer and some human petri dish.
