Police in New York took possession of a gun belonging to writer E. Jean Carroll in February after she said during testimony in her defamation lawsuit against former President Donald Trump that she had an unlicensed firearm at home, according to a police report obtained by NBC News.
The chief of police in Warwick, New York, visited Carroll at her home on Feb. 15 “to discuss some open issues,” the report states, including Carroll’s disclosure of the handgun while she was on the witness stand Jan. 17.
During the second day of the civil trial, Carroll had told the federal court in lower Manhattan that she kept a “high standard revolver, nine chambers” at home with ammunition. “By my bed,” she said.
Had to be a .22 caliber to hold nine rounds.
In her case more likely to force a grabber to grab, at gunpoint.
The most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off!
“high standard revolver, nine chambers”
Definitely a .22. But, for home defense? Nah.
Is illegal possession of an unregistered loaded handgun a serious crime where she lives?
It’s a High Standard Double Nine. .22 LR revolver, double action, nine round capacity. Long out of production. Not a great gun compared to a Smith K22, but was much cheaper. It was made in two versions, one similar to the K22 and one modeled after the western six shooter.
thx
isn’t that ILLEGAL????
“Guarantee she now has two new unregistered ones on either side of her bed. Not that any man would want to go anywhere near her bed.”
Well.... they might have a panic attack and want to grab one of the guns and commit suicide... once they saw her “au natural”. I mean, she’s ugly enough ‘with’ makeup. Just sayin....
Not sure who I despise more... The disgusting walking skeleton fraud that is E. Jean Carroll or the busy-body cop that went out of his way to confiscate the gun.
Slight correction. The K22 style was known as the Sentinel, the western style was the Double Nine. My first handgun was a Sentinel, my brother had a Double Nine.

If she’s keeping it next to her bed…she looks like the kind of gal that keeps other toys next to her bed. She better be careful she doesn’t blow her box off.
An inexpensive 9 shot .22 made from the mid-50’s until the 80’s.
Pretty common type of inexpensive .22 revolver, generally made on the 60s and 70s. Actually, a pretty decent and reliable gun of the type:
