Biden asks Ukraine not to attack Russian refineries

The USA has called for Ukraine not to attack Russian refineries despite Russia's widespread offensive against several energy facilities in Ukraine.

The Department of Defense has warned that such an attack could bring another spike in fuel prices worldwide.

Michaelo Podoliak, advisor to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claimed that such facilities were legitimate military targets. In a recent interview, he also claimed that such an attack was not only legitimate but desirable on a worldwide level in order to weaken Russia's hold on the energy lobby.

“Ukraine must destroy Russia's refineries. They have no impact on worldwide pricing, and are only an expression of lobbyism.”

Fmr. Obama Treasury Counselor Rattner: We Discouraged Opening New Refineries Due to Misjudged ‘Transition Away from Gasoline’
Breitbart ^ | 24 Jun 2022 | IAN HANCHETT
Posted on 6/24/2022, 8:53:26 AM by conservative98

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Steve Rattner, who served as counselor to the Treasury Secretary in the Obama administration, stated that there is a bit of “schizophrenia” in our energy policy where “We’ve been discouraging oil companies from maintaining refineries or opening new ones. Because we theoretically are going to transition away from gasoline.” But the problem is, there was a “misjudgment as to how long of a transition it was going to be and what we needed to do to make the transition work.”...

Has anyone asked the media to stop the lying to the public.. Joe shows no ability to know what is going on, and certainly can’t be the President.
Contrary to their assumptions, we are not deplorables.

Biden “asks” Israel and Ukraine to not attack Iran and Russia. Should work as well as releasing illegals without bail. Soft-headedness gets us into war and gets our cities overrun with crime. In the meanwhile, Biden is relentless in attacking working class people.

So, Biden is placing politics ahead of Ukraine.

Let’s remember that the next time they chastise us for blocking aid to Ukraine and claim we are playing politics.

Those in Kuwait would disagree. When MacArthur was fired, Korea was going to be something less than a victory but Sourh Koreans are still grateful.

Supplies for Ukraine are the best. use of defense dollars. The Cossacks are killing communist invaders and are keeping a freedom-loving people from the oppression of Russian and Mohammedan pigs.

”The last war we won was World War II.”

We won in Afghanistan. Then we surrendered.

Re: "Ukraine missile attacks on Russian refineries"

Biden is afraid high gas prices will cost him votes in November.

Any other reason Biden might claim is Political BS.

Off topic - but similar issue...

I wonder if Biden encouraged Iran to shoot hundreds of missiles at Israel?

Now, after the USA shot down 70 missiles, Biden can claim that he has always supported Israel.

Now, Biden can publicly pressure Israel to stop attacking Hamas, and play on both sides of the issue.

Since refineries produce precursor chemicals for explosives manufacture, as well as fuel for Putin’s military machine, they most certainly are military targets. That O’Biden would tell Ukraine to lay off because a rise in the price of refined oil products might hinder their re-election chances is appalling.
