I believe responses don’t have to be proportionate. They should be aimed at stopping and defeating the enemy.
Even the Iranians haven't claimed that. Rather they claimed Israel bombed a "Consulate."
Most outside observers believe the target served zero conventional diplomatic functions, but was just housing for Iranian military command and control of local terrorists, a legit target. But that because of the Iranian cover story they had to do something to save face. Not that Iran respects diplomatic facilities. They took our Embassy and kidnapped its staff under Jimmy Carter, with one of the alleged 'students' that took it identified as a future Iranian president. They kept those hostages for over a year. Iran blew up Israel's embassy in Argentina years ago, just recently confirmed by Argentinian courts. Plenty of other violent attacks by Iran and its proxies to which we've made no violent responses.

Sunday 3:05 a.m.: IDF Spokesman: IDF base in southern Israel lightly damaged in Iranian missile barrage. Over 200 missiles were launched. The incident has not yet ended. IAF jets are shooting down threats outside Israeli territory.
I'll have to admit that as a teenage hobby programmer in the 1980's I practically worshipped the ground at MIT. So when their egg heads came out repeatedly saying that missile interception couldn't be done, for a while I believed them. One of the things that made me quit listening to MIT was the success of the Patriot interceptor.
I know the media repeatedly downplayed the success of the early version Patriot during the first Iraq war -- but almost all of those failures were after we started trying to use the Patriot for things beyond what it was designed for. For example, in the first month of the war, 48 scud missiles were fired at American bases with the Patriot, and only 1 scud hit target. A Patriot success rate of 94%. After that the military wanted to test the Patriot's boundaries, that's where the lack of success was at.
That's when I realized that MIT was not as smart as they make out to be. That they were just an arm of the Dims masquerading as smart.
Yes, the Dims called it "Star Wars" to say it was in impossible fantasy.

They rely a lot on Russia Today “News” (Russia’s pro-Government news outlet) and he has interviewed Douglas MacGregor - he has been blatantly wrong on just about every analysis he has ever done.
