A better example is the 1992 bombing of the Israeli embassy in Argentina which killed 22 people (not to be confused with the 1994 bombing of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires that killed 85 people). It was a direct attack on an Israeli diplomatic compound, not a third country.

Islamic terrorists don’t obey international laws any more than the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia which attacked our embassy in Libya - they’re thought to have connections to Al Queda- and Al Queda has had direct connections to Iran over the decades.

I’m pretty sure it’s against diplomatic protocols to use a consulate as a base for military action, especially when it’s harboring members of a designated terrorist organization.

Iran doesn’t follow the rules, so why should Israel?
