sub: Luc Van Gorp, president of Christian Mutuality, advocated suicide for older people who are ‘tired of life’ and shockingly described the elderly as a ‘mountain of meat’ that ‘starts to smell.’

I know I was yapping about “perverse incentives” back when they started floating “Hillarycare.”

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire, or both.)

Wait until the health insurance companies and life insurance companies start colluding on the issue.

That boy needs to be the first in line. I only saw the picture of him and I could tell he’s a piece of meat with two eyes that really stinks.

What a strong, powerful, visionary executive. Just like Steve Jobs. Thinks outside the box.

Meanwhile, his counterpart in a Belgian life insurance company is pushing for a law that would force every hospital to keep its elderly patients on life support until the age of 150. :-P

he “would rather call it: giving life back.”
Yes, killing people is ‘giving life back’. Even Dr Goebbels didn’t say that.

It was determined by the Allied powers after WWII that the German T-4 euthanasia program was just a thin disguise to cover up mass murder. Now here it is again in Belgium because they didn’t learn squat from the Nazis.

Instead of calling the process suicide, which has negative connotations, he “would rather call it: giving life back.”
It depends on what the meaning of "is" is.
How old is Mr Van Gorp? Will he allow euthanasia on himself as soo as he reaches 'old age'? And, will the law allow for rich people or 'important' people to be exempt from that euthanasia?
I say, once you retire from work, you get euthanized, no matter how old. ;)
And, can we bring back Soylent Green? (not that it ever was real, but still, let's get it to be real).

‘Ol’ Luc himself looks like a pile of meat that’s starting to smell.
Thinking he should go first.
Setting an example is so important in todays culture

It seems that one would have to be an atheist, believing that there is no purpose at all to human life, to think like this.
