White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed condolences Thursday on the death of former NFL star OJ Simpson — but made no mention of the two people he was accused, and sensationally acquitted, of killing nearly three decades ago.
“Our thoughts are with his families [sic] during this difficult time — obviously with his family and loved ones,” Jean-Pierre said of Simpson. “And I’ll say this, I know that they have asked for some privacy. And so we’re going to respect that. And I’ll just leave it there.”
Simpson, 76, died of complications from prostate cancer just two months shy of the 30th anniversary of the brutal slaying of his former wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman, an acquaintance, at her Brentwood, Calif. home on June 12, 1994.
Neither Brown nor Goldman were referenced by Jean-Pierre.
The former Heisman Trophy winner and Hall of Fame running back was accused of the double murder, but acquitted in October 1995 in a case dubbed the “Trial of the Century.”

I think that’s exactly it.
Trust your feelings, and your eyes and your ears, you're correct.
They also care more about black criminals than they do about black crime victims.
Seems the only appropriate reaction would have been not to comment on his death at all. Once you do you are stuck with either praising somebody who was probably a murderer who escaped justice, or speaking ill if the dead. No win situation. Self inflicted political wound.
Unbelievably not The Bee.

Hall of Shame running black
He WAS acquitted.
I always felt unsure about the extent action that would have had to be dne by the LA police in order to have framed OJ for it. Why would they do all that to frame him? Were they sure he was guilty, and also certain they couldn’t prove it in court so they nudged the evidence along. A lot?
Or, could he have done it and gotten off. Those gloves sure did look way too small. And that detective did admit to using the “N” word in the past.
So many unanswered questions.
Biden and the Dems: Gimme that black vote. No matter who I have to shovel under the lawn.
Guy on Court TV (lawyer) said he was in grade school the day of the OJ not guilty announced there.
“The teachers were split right down into all the black teachers celebrating and giving high fives and the white teachers thinking it was a miscarriage of justice.”
I never forgave the pro OJ people. One died later and I used to forget and ask a coworker “she’s dead now, right?” A vicious Angry Black Woman Syndrome woman in her fifties who set out to make me miserable. I can’t do anything to get revenge because she died already.
Leather gloves will shrink when they get wet and then are removed before they are dry. At the same time, there are things one can do to make one's hands "too big" to fit a pair of gloves. It's easy to manipulate if you want to.
Who in the world even brought this up at the WH press conference? Sickening!
A large percentage of Blacks cheered OJ like Muslims cheered Bin Laden. Facts.
Did she mention the 12 counts of armed robbery and kidnapping at gunpoint?
Gloves are meant to fit like a glove. If they fir right, they are difficult to get on. They should be skin tight. It’s easy to fake an inability to get gloves on.
Is there no end to the pandering?
Saying nothing is sometimes the best statement to make.
