I commend anyone in the pro-life movement for the work they do, but some of these people making these public statements are going down a road filled with some potential dangers.

The underlying argument against Roe v. Wade by the pro-life side was that abortion is NOT a Federal issue but should be addressed by the states. These people come across as insincere and underhanded when they now stake out a position that UNDERMINES the successful legal argument that won the day in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Don’t you think we risk loss pushing pro-life, just as much as if we acquiesce and let the pro-abortion people run amok? I fear we lose with both, which is what the essay points out. But what is the middle ground? And can Republicans credibly claim it?

You keep posting that pro-abortion lie, the attack on the Supreme Court making law, and that a law legalizing abortion was not the pro-life movement fighting for states rights.
