No shortage of ‘Rats need to be Che’d.
“If it stops just one murderer,”
the death penalty is not a preventive measure nor should it be treated as such.
no person is going to say “hmmmm i better not plan this murder or i might get put to death”
the point of the death penalty is that there are simply some crimes that are so wrong that the only way to right it is to simply remove the killer from this world.
end of story.
“The death penalty is not nor ever has been a deterrent.”
Are you a total Schiffmoron?
There is a no more absolute foolproof deterrent.
[Dorsey went to the Bonnies’ home that night. After they went to bed, Dorsey took a shotgun from the garage and killed both of them before sexually assaulting Sarah Bonnie’s body, prosecutors said. Police said Dorsey stole several items from the home and tried to pay off a drug debt with some of the stolen goods.
A day after the killings, Sarah Bonnie’s parents went to check on the Bonnies after they had failed to show up for a family gathering. They found the couple’s 4-year-old daughter on the couch watching TV. She told her grandparents that her mother “won’t wake up.”]
Stole things afterwards ———> to pay off a drug debt.

Let’s hope they let ole Bryan get a look at the eclipse! :0)
How many times have we read convicted killer rapist was freed by parole board and judge and then he or she did it again. Those who made that decision should suffer the same fate
Did his victims ask to live too.

Do some research and see why it is a deterrent, especially in a world of Liberal Judges.

“He also had his final meal served to him, which included two bacon double cheeseburgers, two orders of chicken strips, two large orders of fries, and a pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms and extra cheese, according to the state department of corrections.”
Go back to reddit. Thats where you belong. You bleeding heart liberal.
“It is good war is so terrible lest we should become fond of it.”
“It is also good that punishment should be swift and horrible lest some would be tempted to do evil.”
Out west in the old days (as depicted) when they catch a murderer and then throw him in jail wait for the judge and then make a big spectacle of building a Gallows and hanging in public.
I always thought if there are witnesses (biblically 3) cctv... whatever, and it’s beyond a shadow of a doubt. Those convicted murderers should be marched out of the courtroom and into the execution area, to whatever method that might be employed.
Horrendously enough the garrote post (post, stout rope, torque pipe) might be the cleanest and least expensive method.
Economize the burial as well.
For a murderer in a capital case, a trial is an exposition of their wrongdoing that is distressing to them, their family, and anyone else who may care about them. In addition, a guilty plea can be claimed as a sign of remorse and a desire to avoid additional grief for the family of the victim. That may then be used as an argument against the death penalty.
Bet’cha he wont do it no more!
Pretty close, 18 years to give this scum the dirt nap.
He might….the death penalty apparently doesn’t stop murderers from murdering.
“It just insures pleas to life without parole instead of life with parole.”
Until some left wing Governor decides to free up prison space by granting clemency, anyway.

“The death penalty is not nor ever has been a deterrent.”
How about it is a 100% effective deterrent.
This murderer will never murder a couple again. EVER!
He won’t rape the corpse of the woman he shot again. EVER!
Still way to long a wait
