Zelenskyy straight-up said Ukraine is going to lose if Congress doesn't send more aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that his country "will lose the war" against Russia if Congress does not act to send it more aid, Agence France-Presse reported.

Zelenskyy's statement on Sunday was his starkest warning to date about the fate of Ukraine.

In late March, he told The Washington Post that Ukraine's army would have to contemplate a retreat "step by step, in small steps," if the US aid did not come through.

The same thing that prevents you from signing up for the Russian armed forces

I don't support this war, or any war for that matter. Unlike you, I've been urging peace since 2/22/22. Why is it a man like you, so eager to support the Ukraine, refuses to fight?

“If you think the ruble is the currency of the future, you should seriously consider investing in it. And if Russia seems like such a great place, think about moving. Land there is cheap and, if you like the austere optics of winter time, they get a lot of pretty snowscapes in winter.”

Here you go, using that same old tired slander and smear that if you’re against giving money to Ukraine you’re a Russian stooge etc.

Like you, I’ve been urging peace from the beginning. We merely differ on borders.

Our border isn't in Eastern Europe.

This isn’t slander, but a more subtle point. If the guy really thinks Russia is the wave of the future, there’s something to be said for moving both portable and fixed assets in that direction. Without people moving from the Old World to the New, there would be no globe-straddling superpower in the Western Hemisphere. But if prospects in the Old World are better, there’s no dishonor in moving back.

My point is that while people are saying these patently absurd things about the collapse of the US, in their hearts of hearts, they don’t actually believe any of this stuff. The reality of overwhelming American economic dominance, driven by its relentlessly inventive and productive megacorps, is why the bigwigs of ostensibly hostile regimes often have personal stock, bond and real estate holdings in the US. It is the ultimate safe haven, in spite of sanctions against some of these governments. The safety and liquidity of US assets drives a great many complicated evasions designed to bypass those sanctions despite the availability of other assets in other countries.

Our border wasn’t in Europe or Asia during WW1 or WW2. But we were no less peacemakers then.

Both Japan and Germany declared war on the United States. See the difference between that and Ukraine?

The US was funding and arming Japan’s and Germany’s adversaries before they declared war. And there was obviously no real need to take their capitals over what was at worst a border clash from the US perspective. Germany never stepped foot on US territory. Japan took Guam and Wake Island. Spain certainly did not try to take DC over the loss of Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippine Islands.

Operation Pastorius, Nazi saboteurs landed on a beach near Amagansett, Long Island, NY on June 13, 1942.

Stepping foot in the sense of armed formations in long-term occupation. Sabotage operations are a different species.

Thanks Zhang Fei. Also, in WWII most of the combat, time spent, and troops for Germany were on the eastern front.

Zeeped!

Tell me exactly how Ukraine wins without bankrupting US taxpayers and without full scale US involvement.

Please be precise.

Wait the FR warcons, the highly accurate US intelligence community, the DOD, NATO and their media propaganda outlets all assured us that the Ukraine had this war won. What happened? Did George Washington Jr screw up your ultimate victory or was all that prattle just another big lie?

The Ukraine is a third world cesspool of corruption which we and the Russians helped create and of no strategic value to the US. No more money for little George Jr. fight your own war and a pox on you and Ivan.
