It's impossible to keep up with what the left is offended by, because they always come up with something else.

You see in Japan everybody is Japanese. Same with Korea and Koreans. In America you have Blacks, Mexicans and Puerto Ricans. Heard it once.
e pluribus unum has never been part of the left’s game plan for America. Diversity was a strength as long as those coming were coming to be be part of the American Culture. Unfortunately, the left sold “tribal” culture to our young through the education system, and to the “new comers” so they didn’t feel the need to become “Americans”. Divide and Conquer is a tactic of war as old as mankind.
I admit, I had to read your post more than once to get the gist-I thought “Whaat? A “catastrophe” won’t be enough?”
Then I had to recalibrate, to include the possibility that even a catastrophe might not be enough.

Sure they can - just one could take out a lot of infrastructure - power plants, dams, bridges, airports, ports.

Yes. The navy could help if it stopped requirements creep and last minute changes. But DIE has little to nothing to do with the problem and it’s just wish casting to say otherwise.

we visited the Naval Academy last summer....saw a couple of really out there officers....don’t know if they were male or female but if they were male, we are in a heap of trouble.....

Our navy is actually going to go in reverse numbers-wise and ships will go into the reserve if we can't get recruits. The number of sailors and shore personnel needed to operate and maintain the carriers alone is crazy.
You know what is really going to be fun…when the juggler can no longer handle all the balls in the air and big shooting war starts. And our navy starts taking losses. Those losses now can not be replaced, even if you had a decade to do it.
Think an enemy in a hot war is going wait around for decade while we struggle to build replacements?

I'm fully aware of how government forces prime contractors to hire a certain percentage of Didn't Earn It (DEI) subcontractors. From the government, to the prime, to the sub, they all expect the tradesmen to jump from DEI sub contractor to DEI subcontractor for flat rates while the contracts becomes more and more onerous.
