disloyalty is a reprehensible trait, even among politicians. hey, he made his bed.
Tom Shillue was right, early morning, today 04/07/2024, FoxNews:
"Trump has to have 50% showing in the polls, in each of the swing states."
But he will get to replace Sotomayor though.
I hope he starts holding press conferences twice daily. I hate waiting 24 hours for updates with more good news about what Ron DeSantis, America’s Governor, has done to promote liberty, fiscal responsibility, election integrity, parental rights, the second amendment and other conservative values.
Maybe we should have a livestream of DeSantis so we can see his awesomeness unfold daily in real time. In the age of rampant divorce and philandering getting a peek at the life a bold leader, devout husband and familyman, veteran and patriot would be refreshing.
*Perfectly reasonable answer to a stupid question.*
Bingo!
What “isloyalty”? This is MAGA mythology.
Right.

Ron DeSantis denies he’s ‘considering a run for the presidency’

Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.

Here’s the good news Bushie, the Meatball’s political career is over, along with that of his grifting wife. Please take your principled conservativism over to the staff of the Dispatch and try to pitch that story.
Clearly what we need is Larry Hogan in 2028, not Ron DeSantis.
Better yet. Chris Christie.
Do I have to say the obvious?
When Republican leaders stand by and say NOTHING while a Republican POTUS is subjected to fake impeachments, stolen elections, kangaroo court lawfare and all manner of lies and propaganda - that is disloyalty.
When instead of standing with him against a corrupted Democrat party, a corrupted media and corrupted administrative state - all out to destroy the Republic - they have the temerity to pay lip service to the conspiracy of lies - and even run against him - that is treachery.
DeSantis did just that. He and the others were jealous of the movement that President Trump built - jealous of his huge MAGA following - and when push came to shove, they picked the wrong side, each one calculating that with Trump out of the way, perhaps a lane would open up for them.
They chose poorly.
Either you’re a fan boy or fan girl blinded by idol worship or you’re being paid to post such nonsense. It’s easy to do the right thing when doing so is easy. The hard part is bucking the system. The hard part is not buckling to donor demands and being willing to challenge the deep state in ways that truly threatens them. Touting DeSantis because he signed a squatter’s law handed to him by the Florida legislature or signing any number of other high profile laws that the Establishment doesn’t care about, while ignoring his refusal to acknowledge the outcome-altering election fraud of 2020 or to speak out against the false J6 narrative and the 100’s who have been railroaded by our DOJ, is the advocacy of an Establishment lackey or someone who’s unwittingly acting as one.
And, BTW, I haven’t even brought up DeSantis’s quid pro quo with energy and insurance donors, signing lucrative legislation that has helped both those industries at Florida residences’ expense, in exchange for millions in campaign donations. Nor have I touched on measures he’s taken as governor to make Florida elections less transparent.
My impression living here in Florida is people like Trump and DeSantis.
You do realize that even if he wins, Trump is immediately a lame duck and the next race starts the day after the election?
You do realize that even if he wins, Trump is immediately a lame duck and the next race starts the day after the election?
“The Governor told Fox News Channel viewers that he didn’t “have any plans for the future””
Flag for personal foul. DeSantis is a true conservativa who lost to Trump. Leave it alone.
Nope, guess again. Your whole post is wrong.
I think you made all that up except for the staff rehires.
I imagine because you're making that up.
How did DeSantis “pick the wrong side”? What are you talking about.
Here are some sources explaining DeSantis’s role in Florida energy rate hikes. To summarize, four of the five members of the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC), the board which regulates utilities for the state of Florida, are DeSantis appointees. In October of 2021 the commission, approved a $5 billion dollar FPL rate increase, to be spread over four years.
FPL is also a large donor to Florida Republicans generally, and to DeSantis in particular. DeSantis had previously signed a 2020 law designed to force J.R. Kelly from his position as head of the Office of Public Counsel, an office whose role is to advocate for consumers during rate hike negotiations with utility companies. The removal of Kelly, known as a strong consumer advocate, allowed him to be replaced by Richard Gentry. Gentry subsequently, negotiated the FPL rate hike which was ultimately approved by the PSC.

The DeSantis-appointed PSC has also approved rate hikes for Tampa Electric and Duke Energy Florida, amounting to 9.8% and 15.1%, respectively.
