Cindy McCain, the executive director of the World Food Program and wife of the late Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the situation in Gaza had become dire.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Israel has also approved opening the Erez Crossing from Israel into northern Gaza to get this desperately needed aid in. How important is opening that crossing for you and your workers with the World Food Program? Will that help hold off this famine that you’ve said is imminent?”

Usually all the nice folks with the rifles are the ones who have all the food. Where is this famine coming from?
That old bag needs to go deliver some aid to terrorists under fire in a war zone
You've got one person to blame for starving the people in Gaza...yourself. What have you and your organization done to force Hamas to let the aid get to the people of Gaza? Answer: Absolutely nothing!
WFP sits within the UN but is privately funded. Sounds like a bunch of grifters to me. Also they form partnerships with small farmholders. I though we were trying to rid the world of small farms because they cause global warming. I just can't wrap my head around all of this.
We will be on that list some day. This is what corrupt government gets you. Poverty and misery for all except for the few at the top of the manure pile.
It’s simple all Hamass has to do is immediately release all the hostages and execute every member involved in the planning and execution of the October massacre!
I have read that UNWRA was given over $ 1.1 billion in 2022 for "humanitarian aid". How much good this could have done if sent to the deserving impoverished in other parts of the world rather than being misapplied for military purposes in Gaza.
Total BS!
There was a fascinating and controversial article several years ago that said the world would be much better off if all the foreign aid to Africa were stopped. The aid artificially props up the high fertility rate which leads to overpopulation, mass starvation and misery. If the aid were stopped, births would go down and fewer people would starve. On balance, things would be a lot better for Africans without the aid.
It was a well thought-out thesis. We’d also have fewer people from Angola sleeping on tennis courts in Seattle demanding we take care of them.
Any food shipped to the Gaza people is hijacked by Hamas. If the people are starving, it is because Hamas steals their food for its the exclusive use and could care less what the regular people have to eat.
Gaza grows enough food to export much of it. Hamas can and does starve the locals to win propaganda points by blaming it on Israel.
Nobody gives a crap Cindy. Go pop a Percocet.
She must think she’s in charge of the World Food Pogrom, and that put’s her in charge of the battlefield.
So... what’s the downside?
Shut up Cindy, no one cares what you think!
That’s a shame
BS!
This hag is so freaking dumb that only Democrats would place her in a position of responsibility.
Let them eat cake. Or crap.
There never was any mass starvation in Gaza!
How do I know this? Well, if we dismiss the untold photos of filled market-places in various places in Gaza during the last half-year, there are some other revealing photos. Some photos of starving children! But one of those photos that circulated in the media quite early on was of a starving little boy - from the Syrian civil war in 2014. Another one also of a severely undernourished little boy, was a picture of a boy suffering from cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes the airways to clog up with very sticky mucus, causing breathing problems and also problem to feed the child properly. A truly sad situation, but not caused by a general lack of food.
Later on other photos were shown under headlines of starvation crisis. Some of those were published by CNN and later on recirculated in Swedish newspapers. Those photos showed small children in hospital with round cheeks and chubby hands - hardly starving children.
OK, lack of proof of starvation is not proof that it did not exist, but given the decades long use of Pallywood propaganda we can be 100% certain that had there been starving children (real starving children) we would have seen them day out and day in.
As usual our (and I do not mean just Israel, but all of the western world) worst enemy is the lying media and the our gullible politicians.
