Before I retired, I made a pretty good living off of commissioning new power plants. Dependent on the type of equipment employed, I made the most at Coal fired plants, followed by nuclear (upgrades), followed by gas fired. Good thing I retired!
Think of the workers they will lay off. Years of experience gone over a whim. I suppose they could re-purpose their career to pulling carts in the neighborhood after a freeze “Bring out your dead! bring out your dead!”
