Boebert undergoes emergency surgery for blood clot due to rare condition

Doctors successfully removed the clot and inserted a stent for Boebert, who is expected to make a full recovery.

Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert underwent emergency surgery to remove a blood clot that she received due to a rare condition known as May-Thurner Syndrome, her campaign said.

She experienced severe swelling in her upper left leg and was admitted to the hospital in Loveland, Colo., on Monday afternoon, her campaign said late Tuesday evening on Facebook.

The congresswoman underwent a CT Scan and doctors discovered an acute blood clot and diagnosed her with May-Thurner Syndrome, which is a condition that impacts blood flow in the pelvis, according to Cleveland Clinic.

"An exact cause is unknown, but dehydration, travel, and extended periods of sitting have all been identified as potential factors in causing symptoms of May-Thurner Syndrome," the campaign said.

Doctors successfully removed the clot and inserted a stent for Boebert on Tuesday morning. She is expected to make a full recovery and be able to completely perform her duties in Congress.

"I'm looking forward to making a full recovery and getting back to Congress to continue fighting for Colorado," Boebert said.

The congresswoman's hospitalist, Dr. Rebecca Bade of the UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, said: "Patients with May-Thurner Syndrome who undergo the procedure to restore blood flow are able to live and work just as they have in the past after a brief recovery."

Are you so dense that you can’t see she was being sarcastic? Are ya'll so dense that you take to leftist ad hominem tactics because I offended your personal sensibilities?

SHE'S AN IDIOT. Evidence:

As a congresswoman, I have never publicly advocated for or against taking the vaccine. I’ve never revealed my private health information, although I’ve made it clear that in the past my husband and I have made the choice to be vaccinated and to vaccinate our children.

Additionally, her pathetic attempt at humor was a mirror of what Trump successfully accomplishes on a daily basis.

Personally, I don't trust a shill anymore than I trust a rino or a democrat.

So many ways to die. There seems to be a new one, to me at least, every day.

“ An exact cause is unknown…”

Not true in most cases of May-Thurner Syndrome. It’s usually a congenital defect in which the position of the leg vein causes its compression, leading to clots.

Boobert is having a tough year. One thing after another. I hope she recovers and wins her election.

....well, logi, you’ve got the vaccine mandate issue nailed down.

Now...., you should try for a couple more.

No vax advocate here (I didn’t get one) but MTS is a long known condition that causes DVT. Right common iliac artery overlies the left common iliac vein causing compression, stagnation and subsequent clotting. I have treated many cases for over 20 years. No vax needed for explanation.

Your “evidence” is not what I replied to. I’m glad the representative doesn’t want to try and force the vaccine on others. May her recovery be quick and complete.

Boberts clot sounds arterial. I have several stents in my pèlvis and upper legs. I too used to live at high altitude and no longer do. I had a high hematocrit at high altitude, and no longer do.

I don’t know what elequis is but they’re putting me on a shot that also reduces clots but has to be injected.

Deep veìn thrombosis is different because those clots can break loose and travel. Arterial blockages are dìfferent.

I don’t vape and I had a blood clot in my leg just like hers.

I don’t know what caused mine, but I suspect it was inactivity, falling asleep in a recliner and being a couch potato for too long...................

i would agree but i’ve been seeing them look for any excuse to deflect any curiosity into the possibility of vaxx related at this point.

they know they’re screwed once the world decides someone needs to swing for what’s been done.

Good information the public is unaware of re May-Thurner syndrome and 'vaccine. So many co-morbities were never tested. I recall reading something about a person with a genetic marker for a genetic mutation re methylation problem being warned by her doctor not to get the vax. Have no idea if he was right or not, it's lucky if your doctor investigates, suspects, knows or even cares!

As for Boebert she seems to be anti-vax. She enraged the left by 'spreading misinformation' about the 'vaccine'. Here's one example:
