The reason crime has not sky rocketed is because the definition and thus the reality of crime has been redefined.
No action by any Black person is ever a crime. By definition, there can be no crime committed by Black persons. Therefore there is no crime committed.
Removing merchandise from a retail store without paying for it is not a crime. Using a hand gun purchased from off market sources to kill a human is not murder. The act is merely a permissible Post Birth Abortion an as such certainly not a criminal act.
In some cases I can believe crime has fallen - particularly in places where the victims never returned to the killing fields post-COVID. Years ago Camden NJ was a very dangerous place, then the crime fell - the unreported angle of the story was that massive tracts of the city were no longer inhabited. Detroit is probably safer that it was 30 years ago - so many people (criminals and victims) left.
That dynamic is probably now appearing in NYC; dangerous as Hell, but with far fewer people.
