And as soon as the voters go to the polls, these laws are repealed. Years back, the voters of South Dakota and Mississippi repealed state pro-life laws. If you can't restrict or end abortion in Mississippi, then where can you?

This was proven wrong back in the 1980s. When C. Everett Koop was Reagan's Surgeon General, he authorized a study into women's reactions after an abortion. He was sure the study would prove the veracity of the above sentence. It turned out quite differently.
The study showed that most women who had abortions viewed it as a positive experience. It was a declaration of independence from an overbearing father, husband or boyfriend, a blow against patriarchy.
The results of the study were a shock to Dr. Koop and shook him to his roots. Koop was a devout Christian, and he wondered if he should suppress the study. But he chose to make it public.
Trump is playing this cleverly. Abortion is popular, and in every state where the issue is on the ballot, people will vote to keep it legal. Trump is giving voters an option to vote for abortion without giving them a reason to vote Democrat. It's a good chess move.
Now, in the midst of the 2024 campaign, President Trump's long-awaited announcement of his stance tragically pigeonholes abortion as a matter of states’ rights. It has met with disappointment from the pro-life community and the millions of Americans who are looking for a national leader who can build consensus and stand up to the pro-abortion extremism of Joe Biden and congressional Democrats.
It sounds like Marjorie should've announced HER candidacy, for President, months ago...since she feels SHE can build a consensus to stand up to the pro-aborts. I cheer her on, to announce her candidacy, for the next election, today.
Although ... other than a “national conversation”, not sure what her statement/approach would be.
I've also asked others what that approach should be ... and, I've yet to receive a reply :-(
I am amazed when I see several on our side, like Marjorie, joining in on the Trump shaming wagon, on this. The left must be loving it.
And, I am as pro-life as the next Christian/pro-life advocate.
I just don't want to lose our opportunity to do even more for the unborn, than we achieved under Pres Trump's previous term.
Maybe it is time for RPOTUS to begin explaining exactly what this horrid procedure is/does ... murderous ripping apart, limb by limb, body part by body part, of an innocent child ... to the nation. Maybe he could title the vid: What If This Was YOU? (Since we know how selfish the libtards are!)
The national conversation, that Marjorie talks about, was covered up and blotted out, by the lying left MSM, years ago. Where was Marjorie, then, either running for office, or, at least calling out EVERY single Repub or Christian candidate, who allowed the conversation to be sugar-coated with terms like ... just a blob of tissue ... healthcare, for the mother is being denied!!! ... up to X weeks .... etc., etc? I don't recall any ads being run by her group, begging to differ ... with visual facts/stats, rather than OpEds and tv appearances.
Not at all calling you/any conservative FRiends out. Just honestly curious what the “winning” approach, insinuated by Marjorie and a few others, at this point in time, should be. Because I admit I certainly, and, sadly do not know...other than how RPOTUS is handing this .... giving decision to states. :-(

I side with Trump and the Supreme Court. Abortion is not a Federal issue. Each State should have the authority to rule on this. I am not an abortion supporter, I just don't believe in federal government overreach.
If republicans do not follow Tump’s lead on this, they will lose. For 52 years both left and right have had the opportunity to pass a national law on abortion, but both would rather run on it than actually do their job either way. The court did the right thing sending it to the states and frankly, more needs to go that direction for us to survive as a federation of states and this issue, and many others, there is no reconciliation between the left and right we can agree on at a national level.

The only reason the left is still yapping about this is because they can't talk policy, because their leadership has been a disaster.

Katie Hobbs statement on Arizona’s Supreme Court abortion ruling is that she’s openly admitting she will defy the ruling, suggesting her EO takes priority over the state’s highest court. You don’t have to like the law, you can work to change the law, but you don’t get to pick and choose when you follow law...unless you’re a Democrat.

Some January 6 defendants are being released from prison on federal judges’ orders pending an appeal in the United States Supreme Court centered on interpretations of obstructing an official proceeding as oral arguments approach.
The Washington Post reported on federal judges’ decisions to release a “handful” of defendants amid the appeal in the Fischer v. United States case. Some have already been released, and others are scheduled to be released soon.
“Judges said they were acting because the high-court review significantly raised the possibility the felony convictions might be overturned,” noted the Post’s Spencer S. Hsu.
The case potentially bears substantial implications for more than 100 January 6 defendants, whose lone felony charge is obstruction of an official proceeding, per the Post.
