Trump Is Financially Ruining the Republican Party (the party that funded Lisa Murkowski's reelection)
New York Times ^ | 3/31/24 | Michelle Cottle

Posted on 03/31/2024 5:16:34 AM PDT by cotton1706

Donald Trump is someone you should think carefully about hitching your financial fortunes to. The guy is a gifted carnival barker, no doubt. But when it comes to serious business, he is a bad bet. Many of his ventures, from vodka and steaks to casinos and “university” degrees, have flopped like dying fish. Declaring corporate bankruptcy seems to be one of his favorite hobbies. And even when he wriggles away from failure largely unscathed, the other parties involved aren’t always so fortunate. Where money is involved, anyone still foolish enough to crawl into bed with him should be prepared for the experience to end in tears.

Which leads me to gently note: Hey, Republican Party, pay attention! You are being herded toward potential financial ruin. The red flags are smacking you in the face. Wake up and smell the grift!

Now we know the author has NEVER voted for ANY Republican, and never would.

So why would she and the New York Times be concerned?

Because funds aren't going to be going to Republican candidates she and the New York Times would prefer any more, that's why.

The gravy train is over.

Well bless her heart, worrying about Republicans like that.

Hopefully today being a most special day will help her see what’s REALLY important in life.

Whenever you see a leftist claiming to worry about the future/stability/health of the GOP, it means we are doing the right thing and the communists are frightened.

Oh, the NY Times came out with something negative about Trump, Republicans, etc. Same old, same old. I couldn’t care less what the “newspaper of record” says.

Amazing how concerned the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic and a whole host of Left Wing House Organs are about the dire threats that Donald Trump poses to the Republican Party

How noble of them.

So why would she and the New York Times be concerned?

Same thought. Any advice your enemy offers can safely be dismissed. Take it as a sign you should take their suggestions and do the exact opposite.

So the brain dead and laughably out-of-toouch GOP never saw this coming?

It proves, if nothing else did, that the GOP has no idea who Trump is or what he means to the future of RINO's in America, what has meant to Conservative voters and what he has has always meant to US politics in general...right from the start!!! Did Rip Van Winkle JUST wake up?

Many of his ventures, from vodka and steaks to casinos and “university” degrees, have flopped like dying fish. Declaring corporate bankruptcy seems to be one of his favorite hobbies.

The man has started/owned dozens of businesses. Some of them were stinkers (the "University"), some of them thrived (Trump Tower, the golf courses),Some of the ventures were simply licensing deals (e.g. Donald Trump board game), some of them failed after years of making money and business environment changes (casinos in Atlantic City).

Any serious capitalist who ventures outside his big hit will have his failures. How many of Microsoft's major offerings were bombs? (Zune, Plays4Sure, Windows Me, ALL of their phones). Investors were mostly shielded because OSes and Mainstream business applications make huge money and covered for it.

Of course it doesn't help if a corrupt federal and state government (NY) wants to put you out of business.

The “newspaper of BROKEN record” is more like it. They just keep repeating and repeating the same line of drivel over and over, like an old vinyl record that cannot get into the next groove.

The world has moved on, NYT. There is a future out there, arriving at one second per second, whether you like it or not.

Trump just made 3 billion taking Truth Social (DJT) public. I bought 50 shares. I think that I’ll make money on the brand.

The cancel culture and heavy hand of the woke bureaucracy will ruin Republican Party finances.

Democrats already have a lock on contributions from unions, social justice organizations (many funded with tax dollars), academics, and government bureaucrats. Most super wealthy billionaires now support and fund Democrats. Wall Street and corporate donations are increasingly favoring Democrats and Democrat candidates.

Consider today if you are an employee, early in your career, of a corporation or any organization headed by leftists. It would be career suicide to publicly support the Republican Party by registering to vote as a Republican, to donate to Republican candidates or be involved in a political campaign. Today’s leftists do not tolerate differences of opinion no matter how well the employee performs.

The same with working for a government agency, non profit, mainstream media outlet, or academic institution. Publicly identify as a conservative and your career prospects disappear. Once institutions are controlled by leftists they search out dissenting voices and expel them.

I know young people who work for local government. They register to vote as independents or even democrats. They never give money to political campaigns because the information is public. They are careful to never engage in political conversation in the work environment or their interactions with neighbors. They understand the totalitarian doxxing culture and the power of social media to destroy one’s career and one’s life.

We no longer live in a free society. The leftists are determined to have a one party state where dissent is not tolerated. If Trump did not exist, the financial strangling of the GOP would be occurring at an even faster rate.
